5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

Hi Everyone,
Chicken - I think I need to employ Kirstie to find me a new house! Funnily enough a friend of a friend was on tonight!
1) Spoke to my dad on skype tonight as it is his birthday tomorrow. It is a very rare occurrance and was a pleasure. He worked most of my childhood so I didn't ever have a particularly good relationship with him but we do get on better now (when he remembers that I am now a grown up)
2) Went to see another property tonight. This one needs a LOT of work. It has loads of nasty wall paper and carpets. It definitely needs some TLC... but if I can get them to reduce the price (a lot) it may be a good option. I like the area, and its a nice size... fingers crossed! But if it doens't work out then it i on to bigger and better things.
3) REally good day at work. Such a lovely atmosphere in the office as all the directors were out and two male colleagues who are so... up themselves... were also out so everyone was relaxed and had a bit of a laugh. Lots of work was done too.
4) NSD
5) The gorgeous sunshine which sadly I didn't get to enjoy nearly enough.
Have a great day... I'm working from home in the morning as I have a dentist appt first thing and then a doctors appt to get a something (yet to be determined) removed from my foot... ouch!
Sleep tight

1. Leg has been getting much better throughout the day, yippee!
2. My lovely family are rallying around to do practical things for me
3. DD was still ill in the morning but has got better during the day, phew!
4. Got the mountains of washing and most of the drying done
5. The sunshine
6. "Found" £1 in the house whilst tidying up0 -
Nuttybabe, sounds like it’s all under control which is great, I am taking more of the preventer and less of the blue which seems to be working fingers crossed before the weather turns at least.
1. 1- NSD
2. 2- Goes without saying the weather was fantastic, so the washing is all up to date and on the line
3. 3- A nice relaxing bath this evening
4. 4- Used up any thing in the fridge in an omelette for tea
5. 5- Really enjoying reading again, and I’ve got a good pile of books to get through.
I’m loving the weather but rather than get on with clearing a pile of work in the house I’ve been finding things to do in the garden instead – ops.0 -
Millie I'm jealous! Not only ponies but a GSD, mine was the best dog I ever had, nothing since has been able to hold a candle to her. She came to us in such a mess and left 8 years later after what I hope were good years for her. I do love my little Spitz though
Frith I read 'picked 3kg of shoes'. As a shoe-aholic I was jealous of you too for a minute!
Chicken re your post to Frith, what a beautiful description, from what I 'know' of her it sums her up completely
1. Woke up all shivery, sneezy and lethargic, only did the bare basics of housework and laundry. Was nice to see the net curtains blowing on the line.
2. Lovely long chat on the phone with DS. With 'free' calls 24/7 it makes calls with the family a very OS pleasure
3. Perked up after a long, tepid shower and hair wash. Probably smelled better too
4. nsd
5. Excellent meeting with friends this evening, everyone in a funny/silly mood and bouncing jokes back and forth. A great free evening's entertainment (it was supposed to be serious but never got that far)
Night night, sleep tight

Yes, I know what time it is, but it all started with probs accessing i-player....I posted a ? and it's being going on from there.
kittikins - I was shocked to see you'd had another fall. Frankly, I'm glad you have your op. date, notwithstanding your fluttery moments as it approaches.
frith - - like sparrer, I ,too, read 'Picked 3kg of shoes' :-) Very glad your wobbly moment has passed. We all see how much shorter these passages are these days. It's all so, so good.
Perhaps I may be first to wish Big Eleven Son No. 1 'Happy Birthday'?
sparrer - be careful. That's how I was a few weeks ago.
1. The unfailing ongoing help from techie posters.
2. Determined to be in sun, so took free bus to Library and collected long-ordered book. I'd forgotten, but an email came and I recalled I'd been 5th on the list back in July. . The House in France, by Gully Wells.
3. Dr H tells me to mollycoddle myself for another month....this just isn't possible and I am being so slack anyway but can't really care atm.
4. Picked more raspberries.
5. Banked 2 forgotten dividend cheques from another Life; 57p and £1.08:).....quelle fortune! Not quite in the order of the extraordinary forebears of Edmund de Waal whose
6. Hare with the Amber Eyes I am making myself savour slowly, having re-read Grayson Perry yesterday[also a most delicious and vitally layered, charged read].
7....and he appears in Have I Got News For You tomorrow. I see it is a rpt, but I must have been away 1st time round.
Alright, I'm going to read now, in bed. Dentist in a few hours...ho hum.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

My five are
1. A lovely day warm and sunny.
2. A neighbour gave me some grapes from his greenhouse.
3. Easy tea of toad in the hole and using sausages from the freezer.
4. Stewed some apples for the freezer.
5. Started my christmas cake by soaking the fruit.0 -
Frith - good to hear that you are feeling brighter xx
Sparrer - GSD is utterly adorable. Before I met her I didn't *do* GSDs, but she chose me and decided she didn't want to leave my side....and that was that. She is a rescue too and had a bad startand 8 years on, she still takes a long time to trust people, but she is the kindest, most loyal dog I have ever met. We leave her in the garden with our free range pet rabbits and she wouldn't dream of hurting them - I wouldn't trust any other dog !
