Feeling a bit blah this morning, for no particular reason. Plagued with self doubt, which isn't nice. Must think of 5 for yesterday!

    1) Picked 3kg of sloes.

    2) Went to lunch at my mum and dad's and my aunty was there too.

    3) Glorious weather.

    4) Quite a tasty tea including an apple pie from apples from mum and dad's.

    5) MrB stayed. :-)

Hugs Frith, hope the cloud passes soon x
  • Frith- why the self doubt? ((hugs)). I read your posts and although I don't "know" you these are the things I see.

    1. You have come out of the other side of an horrific relationship ( pre Mr. N ) and are still able to see the good in the male species.Hence Mr. B.

    2. You "wrestle" with PTSD - the scars of "other stuff".Not easy .

    3. You now drive on the motorway having conquered this demon despite seeing a nasty accident unfold in front of you . It would be "easy" to avoid ever driving on the motorway again .

    4. Your not a bad plumber , decorator, lighter of bonfires, builder of chimneys and cook by all accounts.

    5. You make sure that your sons have an interesting and fun childhood.

Need I go on !! :) Please be kind to yourself x

    1. Decided tomorrow as we already have the brickettes and meat to do a bar-be-que it will be the last one for us before winter sets in and we can sit in the garden and eat it while enjoying this weather. That will be a no spend to do that so very pleased.

    2. Got another two loads of washing out on the line today and dry (bedding).

    3. Sat in the garden this afternoon on the arbour enjoying this beautiful weather and making the most of it.

    4. Cleaned and washed the carpets this morning and having them dry before tonight is a real boon - saved myself £100.00 by doing it myself instead of paying for it to be professionally done!

    5. Clean fresh air sweeping through each end of the house changes the ambience of the place and giving it a fresh smell, so making the most of it while we can.

  • Wow, what a lovely day! Shame I've been stuck in work... Mine for today

    1. Colleague bought me some chocolates and a card to apologise for snapping at me and upsetting me yesterday. She really didn't have to, but obviously felt bad. Chocs are handmade posh ones too...she can snap at me more often:rotfl:

    2. Walk around the farmers' market at work at lunchtime, it was packed! Most craft stalls though, which were nice, but not completely farmer-ish. There were some lovely pastries on one stall- looked yummy...but we resisted!

    3. Mum asked me to make something for a gift for my aunt as she had no idea what to buy her and aunt likes my stuff. I had something already made, so gave her that. She offered to pay, but I was just happy to save her some money, besides, she does an awful lot for me

    4. We are BBQing tonight with some RTC burgers from M&S from the freezer. It might well be the final BBQ of the summer, so we might have to have a cheeky glass of wine too!

    5. I have done more than my working hours this week, so I am not in tomorrow or Friday :jHave a bit of work to do from home, but I can catch up on house stuff and pony stuff and enjoy this nice weather. Yay!!

    6. I am off now to have some cuddles with my cuddly old German shepherd dog, just because :A

Hugs to all in need of them. Frith, I hope you are feeling a bit better now xx

    Good evening all!

millie - enjoy your days off, with your critters!!

CCP- forgot to say thanks fo the quiz "linky". I am such a rubbish loser though!!

Ladyhawk- maybe we will see you on t.v on "Homes under the ........" or some "Kirsty and Phil "thing ;)

Carolyntia- glad to hear that you are enjoying your new job and the "perks"

    5 for today

    1. Half day at work due to my "phased return". My back was a bit uncomfortable though - might need to request an MRI scan for lumbar spine rather than just my usual bi-annual brainbox and neck one.

    2. Came back and put 2 lots of washing out after 1pm and it has dried!

    3. My colleague liked her birthday card and the fairy cakes I made for her as she was going to bake some of her own but did not have time. They were enjoyed by all.

    4. Small glass of wine with supper- blimey the first one since Easter I reckon.

    5. Creamy salmon pasta ....again . Nice and garlicky but not at work tomorrow so I don't care about having dragon breath:)

Have a lovely evening all x

Went Ok today so now we are off into a new term and a new year. Although i ended up having to drive to work as i was gonna miss the train and parking was an arm and a leg.

    Mine for today

    1. Hubby has landed, back from his holiday. He can be a misery guts sometimes but his week away has shown i've missed him and can't wait for him to get home.
    2. Meeting went well at work today - for some outside consultancy.
    3. Made damson jam with some very reasonably priced damsons
    4. HM chicken nuggets and chips for tea with the boy. A treat for our last night on our own.
    5. DD back tomorrow (tho she phoned tonight a bit homesick. she's always homesick on school trips, yet always really wants to go)
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Thanks, Chickenopolis. I got something in my eye reading your post! And Millie2008 and Kittikins. Normal service has now been resumed.

    5 or so for today.

    1) Waking up with MrB.

    2) Boys off to school happily.

    3) Went on a dog walk with my mum.

    4) Went to Sainsburys to get all the bits for bigger son's birthday party tomorrow.

    5) Spent another hour picking sloes.

    6) Lovely weather again.

    7) Went on a walk through the woods with sons and my brother.

    8) Made chicken nuggets. I can't always get the batter as good as the bought ones but these were judged to be fine!

    9) Smaller son and I made 3 bottles of sloe gin.

    10) Just read a couple of chapters of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and bigger son will wake up tomorrow and be 11! Fairly quiet day tomorow. We're having a barbeque for whoever can make it at teatime then hot chocolate and marshmallows later on. My family is invited plus my school friend and MrB. :-)

    Evening all

Purple Kitten - thank you, i will check out that website. I dont get the steriods here, i used to before we moved. Didnt bother me as it was only once a year if that and it sorted it. Now i get bad for a week at a time and just get given a different inhaler or a stronger one. But in a few weeks i will be back to needing the weaker inhaler and i dont have it, just the strong one which i dont want to take unless i am bad! if that makes sense!

    Mine for today

    1. walking in the sunshine on a dog walk, 2 school runs and another dog walk to the park with the kids. :D

    2. Boiler replaced with super duper energy saving one. :T It doesnt have off, it has a drops down to 5 desgrees and it turns on to stop the pipes from freezing. i am assuming that is good although not sure i like the no off button!

    3. Using the timer on my breadmaker. Will have lovely fresh bread in the morning

    4. Spent the day on college work. Learnt how to do a few things on the netbook as well. I can now do circles and write in them! :rotfl:

    5. 3 comments on my blog about a dinosaur i crocheted. Am so pleased other people like him as much as i do. :D
