Hello all
- time with my children
- a lovely dog walk
- coffee in bed
- baby slept 9 hours last night
- watched Dr Who on iplayer
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Evening..
CCP and Sparrer - such lazy daisies! I'm very jealous really
Chicken - well done on the weightloss (if you needed it... or start feeding your self up young lady if you didn't)
Frith - my you are sounding very happy. Long may it last and I raise a glass to you lasting happiness with mrB.
Kittikins - could you send your friend over to help in my garden??
I've had a very annoying day... asked a few colleagues to complete a task while I have been away with the deadline of 10 days ago so that I could upload the data before I left. Needless to say they all missed the deadline. The real deadline was today and they all got a bit arsey when I asked for the info today.
1) Getting most of the information sorted... still a few things to iron out
2) Set up times to view a couple of houses this week... very exciting!
3) Left work at 5.30 which meant I was able to spend an hour pottering in the garden this evening before it got too dark and managed to clear quite a big patch.
4) Found 3 large potatoes hidden amoung the weeds
5) Picked a bowl fill of cherry tomatoes
6) Took my lunch into work... yummy MSC tuna salad (all the salad from the garden)
7) NSD (Penance for yesterday's shopping spree) :A
8) Supper of roast beef from the freezer
9) Nice glass of wine with dinner
night night
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Evening all
mine for today
1. Finally a sunny warm day. And its meant to last all week.Cant remember the last time the sun came out in the day here, its usually misty/cloudy/foggy!
2. Got all the jobs on my rota for today done and moved some bedroom furniture so hubby can (hopefully) set up his gym and stop moaning about it!!!
3. Lunch was leftover mince from under 5's cooking last week that I was given rather than it being thrown out. :money:
4. Toddler group today. Lots of cuddles with my friends little baby.
5. A lovely walk with the dog and the kids to the park. Although seeing a [STRIKE]lady[/STRIKE] woman swear at some teenagers and call them ugly b...... was a bit shocking! :eek:0 -
Not been here for a while, but nice to come back and find some pleasures.
My five for today,
1. DS is so happy at his new school, love coming home and hearing him talk so positively about his days
2. Lovely cuddle with DD
3. Just written another 700 words for assignment, they are a bit random at the moment, but it is coming together.
4. People at work have begum to notice my workload is huge, not that I can't say no, just that I am never given the opportunity!!:(
5. Looks like the good weather will saty for the week, may still get some more tomatos, and my leeks are starting to look less like spring onions - did think I had got the seeds mixed up there for a time.
Peaceful times to all:)0 -
Hi all - mine for today before i nod off
1. Wearing summer clothes again
2. a mooch round the charity shops and obtaining a bargain Laura Ashley blouse and a reasonable cardi
3. DS and i just chatting over tea
4. DS coming into my bed at 4,00 this morning - used to happen all the time, but doesn't very much now. Making the most of it cos he won't do it at all soon.
5. Gave the house a good tidy while listening to a talking book - takes the pain out of housework.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Thanks, Chickenopolis and Ladyhawk.
:):)
5 or so for today (Monday).
1) Waking up with MrB.
2) Boys off to school happily.
3) Texts from MrB.
4) Went on a dog walk with my mum.
5) Popped to Sainburys and started to get stuff together for my bigger son's birthday do this weekend.
6) Went for a dog walk with my brother. This was 2.5 hours and like a test to get into the marines! The worst bit was when he decided we should climb up the bank of the (long disused) colliery and he ended up going ahead, like a gazelle, and having to lower the dog lead down to me so he could help hoist me up!
7) No room in the freezer so I defrosted a kilo of blackberries and now have 2 bottles of blackberry gin on the go.
8) Listening to sons' tales of school. Bigger son got told off in assembly. I hardly dare ask why. Apparently he thought it would be funny to do a Tom Jones impressions - the "huh" thing he does that Rob Brydon imitates....0 -
1) Managed to get in touch with DD at Uni - her phone has died and she went without the charger anyway - so we sent a nearby Aunt and Uncle in to find her. Apparently, she was in the kitchen with a bunch of friends, celebrating somebody's birthday and not a thought for her poor worried mother ... Unfortunately, I have spent the petrol saved (and some) on a big bunch of flowers for her Aunt and Uncle but it was worth it.
2) Enjoyed wearing my £7 M&S jacket to work today. Charity shops are so useful.
3) DS's gf came for tea and we had a money-saving vegan meal of TVP with tomato sauce containing various garden vegetables. The vegan biscuits did not work, however. I blame the dairy-free margarine.
4) DH was able to buy an old laptop at work for £20 and we have bought a new longer-life battery for £36 so I now have something I can use for a fraction of the usual price. It will contribute to the feel of one of those old family evenings where we all sit around the kitchen table, staring at a screen. Hasn't life changed?
Four will do for now. Peace!0 -
Well, I said the guilt of my laziness would catch up with me, and it did
1. Up by 7am and cleaned the lounge through before I went out
2. Pulm exercise class, made myself work hard to counteract the effects of Saturdays carrot cake
3. Called on DD, gave her a lift to work. Am seriously concerned about her, I've never seen her look so weary and she knows she should rest but like me, she doesn't give in to illness. What a pair we are.
4. Made the last of the radiator heat deflectors, now I have one for every radiator. Also ordered some fleece for the garden, hopefully this will be money saving as last year I didn't use any and lost my olive and bay trees.
5. Have just given the kitchen a good clean, and will do whatever needs seeing to in the bathroom when I go upstairs. I have a friend coming for coffee so it'll be all spick and span for her visit
Night night, sleep tight

A mixed bag today, everything was great until I fell over and hurt my bad leg, I may need to go to the doc's or hospital for an x-ray tomorrow, not sure what to do or at the moment, how to get there
The good stuff:
1. NSD
2. NPD
3. OH is here but going back home tomorrowand
4. My lovely friends and assorted children who looked after me when I fell in the street, especially DD with her magic healing hugs - especially the friend who gave me a cup of tea then drove me home, there's no way I could have walked very far
5. OH and DD were a great team looking after me and making dinner0
