    Hi Everyone,

    Yippee - it's the weekend

    1) My presentation this morning went well (though I forgot about one of my slides... oops!)

    2) Managed not to gorge myself at the product testing (we were trying out some new menus - which were gorgeous)

    3) Booked somewhere to have my birthday drinks tomorrow evening - I had emailed them but they hadn't confirmed back... all sorted now

    4) NSD

    5) Nice calls from several colleagues wishing me luck for the presentation and the caling to see if it went all right. No radio contact from the boss though...

    Have a lovely weekend

  • My five for today are
    1. Slept in until 6.45. Have been getting up at 6 to take the dog for a walk. Had to go into work later than usual :).
    2. Getting DD's dermatology appointment through, although it's not until November.
    3. Getting some washing dry.
    4. Having a lovely dinner of chicken and veg.
    5. Just had a cuppa outside, listening to the birds.
Hope everyone has a good evening and hugs to those who need them.

    Good evening all

Ladyhawk- glad to hear that no one was hurt. Is it your birthday tomorrow? If so many happy returns!!!

    5 for today

    1. Brother in law popped round out of the blue for a cup of tea. He was not impressed when the hen jumped on to stable door in the kitchen (again) and constantly "shouted" at him whilst we were trying to hold a conversation.

    2. Our first tomato is now ready to be eaten, the french beans are still growing despite me thinking they were finished.

    3. Picked more blackberries from the garden and the weather was quite pleasant today.

4.Not OS but had a take away for tea and I rationed the usual amount that OH usually orders and wastes.OH has been involved in an emotive tribunal for the last couple of days and the takeaway hit the spot.

5.My brother and his wife have just left , having taken the dog out for a walk . Had a long chat and arranged to go out for a meal sometime soon. My sister also sent several texts messages as she is away on holiday with my Mum and they are coming home tomorrow. That means I will have to give the dog back :(

Have a great weekend all x

Ladyhawk - Happy Birthday for tomorrow :bdaycake:

    1) Text from MrB when he landed safe and sound :D
    2) Mopped the dreaded kitchen floor
    3) Got all my filing done
    4) House very clean and tidy
    5) Free full bottle of the new Bold 2 in 1 to test arrived in the post
    6) Neighbours cat popped in this afternoon - mainly because it was raining and no one was home at his house :o

It's been a strange day with no work to go to. I've been quite bored. However I've thought up a few more jobs for tomorrow to keep me out of mischief. Mainly sorting out the garden bits and pieces before it gets very windy on Monday :(

Hope you all had a good day. Hugs to those that need them

Thanks kittikins and CCP. The college (yes, it happened in front of a dozen or more students :o) phoned me this morning to say they could now take my payment over the phone, so saved me a trip back there.
Millie my sons Welsh Section A was a little darling, no-one else could do anything with her but she followed me like a dog. Mind you, no-one else took her polo mints or ginger nuts ;). Love to hear about other's ponies/horses as it's a long time since the children grew up and moved on

    1. College phoned to take haidressing payment, saving me the journey back there
    2. My hair looks fabulous! The tutor was demonstrating the cut and just continued til it was finished, so a professional cut at college prices. That's real OS :)
    3. Winter seed potatoes have arrived at the garden centre so went to buy some
    4. Donated 11 tins cat food into the collection box at the local supermarket, bought a load for the cats but it upset their tums, so back to the tried and trusted. Strangely enough the same happened with the dog, so have several tins to take to the dog rescue
    5. DNeighbours birthday, had a blueberry muffin with a candle in it courtesy of her DD, who I don't think has quite grasped that it's just the birthday girl who gets the candle :D

    Night night sleep tight

5 or so for today (Friday).

    1) Sons to school happily again!

    2) Went with my mum for a long dog walk.

    3) Brushed the dog when we got back which he enjoys so much that he falls over!

    4) Popped into town (gave mum a lift in too) and did some shopping for the weekend.

    5) Cleaning (normal and post builders) continues. I don't think the house has ever been so tidy. Cleaned the stairs, kitchen and living room floors this evening.

    6) Tasty tea of last night's brocolli and pasta cheese with some chicken kievs. Then I used a recipe from Good Housekeeping for some 3 minute chocolate sponge puddings.

    7) Dad brought me up a load of logs for the stove. :-)

    8) Smashed up all the wood that came out of the house during the building work (laths, old door frame etc) so that can be used for starting sticks.

    9) Used some of the wood to have a bonfire in the garden and toasted marshmallows with sons. Then MrN's son 3 came round for a chat (and marshmallows!)

    10) - this no longer in chronological order - on-line chat with MrB last night and hoping to catch him again in a bit.

Thanks Chicken and Carolyntia - my birthday is actually on Tuesday but I am going to be away with work (more menu testing) so am meeting up with a few friends tonight. I am a little sad though as 3 of them have called to cancel at the last minute :(

  • Hello everyone,:hello:

Its been a long while since I posted on here, must do better! Now the kids are back at school, I will try and get into a different routine and start posting again.

    5 today

    1. had a long lie in until 8am .... weekdays its 6.30 and as I went to bed early got 10 wonderful hours of sleep. feeling better for it! :D

    2. having restful day at home with my little family. Both boys tired, little DS started reception, bigger DS infants last week and the newness of it all has worn them out plus getting up early. DH also worn out with work poor love.

    3. will got out for a little walk later maybe to newly found playing fields/park (taken me 9 years to realise it was there!) to pick blackberries and hopefully family will come too.

    4. just had quiet cup of coffee while DH took boys to shops to spend the £10 gift voucher they each had left over from Xmas. We made them wait a few weeks after Xmas to spend as they had enough pressies and then they got forgotten so boys had a lovely surprise and great fun choosing.

    5. not sure yet what number 5 will be....will see how day unfolds and later if I can I'll come and post it and read everyone else's. Won't attempt to catch up on several weeks' worth as I have done before. Just start afresh today!

Happy Saturday to you all! Hugs if you need them too.

    hello, Saturday evening here!

1.After a dreadful night's sleep I was glad to be up & about at 6.30am, had a nice call with one of best friends.

    2.Saturday scone!

3.Shopping, stocking up on some extra groceries for when my mum & aunt come out to visit mid -October. Then , just happened to go into supermarket at exactly the time the man wheeled out his trolley of fruit & veg .....fill as much as I could for $3.00 (1.97pounds) , got potatoes, a melon, parsnips, tomatoes, turnips, a pepper, rhubarb, apples, pears, oranges, grapes & 1 lemon. Squeezed in 2 bags! Then got a big bag of mushrooms which man kindly marked down to $3 from $4 for me! Got RTC cookies & steak.

4.Went to another shopping centre to collect my brand new sunglasses! Finally! My cheapie Primark ones leg fell off last week ,so I have been sunglass free for past week :(

    5. Definately not money saving but very much a pleasure! I treated myself to a new Pandora bracelet this afternoon. My original one was always slightly too tight & when I have added charms it got even tighter. So got that & my FIL enclosed some dollars just for me in a letter this week so bought a tiny charm with that money, rather than just wasting it on something else! The very kind girl cleaned my original chain & all the silver charms for free so I am very BLING!

6.Most of washing dried on line apart from towels which went out too late. It has been a much cooler, wetter week & today was positively baltic! Back in full jeans & socks, top & cardigan today! So quite chuffed washing got dried. Just need to iron now!

    7. Call to other best friend & had a great chat with her....looking forward to catching up in just 2 whole weeks!

    8. Discovering this morning that tree next to front door has beautiful pink blossom on it! Looking forward to seeing it in full bloom.

    Have a great weekend,
    M x
