Good evening everyone
Ladyhawk- does your cake begin with the letter "C" by any chance?? I hear you make the odd one or two;)
Kittikins- You had rain this morning? Must have been a "west Sussex" thing ? How nice are you? Taking your friend lots of goodies:) I was really impressed with my one and only AF order .
Nuttybabe- your house must be spotless !
Reverbe- the antique bird cage necklace sounds really nice.
5 for today
1. Finding that a size 10 pair of Jeans that OH got me in about 2002 are a much looser fit than I remember . I have not worn them for years .
2. Washing line dried quickly as it was quite breezy here
3. Made blackberry and apple crumble it was ok , not my best effort though. Apples came from my Mums garden and blackberries from mine. I found a caterpillar in one of the blackberries as they were thawing out in the colander. Must be "critter in food " finding week for me.
4.Did 20 miles on my exercise bike having not been on it for a while . No real after effects. I might start my own challenge as I do each year of the miles it takes to complete on the bike from my home to Lapland -before Christmas. I never quite make it and don't count the miles over the sea, but I may give it another go
5 Village SOS , and Who do you think you are ?- which was amazing.
Goodnight all x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

3. Long chat with mil on the phone
4. Getting the cushion on our sofa refilled

Tealady well done your DD for keeping her cool
Carolyntia how exciting the contract being on its way
Nuttybabe like you I have to clean my kitchen cupboards which is always a good job done, trouble is since the new kitchen there are so many cupboards!
1. Weeded the two little beds and cleaned out some pots in prep for planting spring bulbs
2. A very kind friend said if I can find a part for my car to replace the one that broke on Sunday, he will put it on for me. Will need to find out what it's called first! Then ring round the breakers yards, so that's on tomorrows list of to do's
3. Quick late night chat on the phone with DS, no date for his visit yet but always good to speak with him
4. Think I must be losing inches if not weight as my watch keeps slipping round and one of my rings is so loose it fell off!
5. Was to be a nsd but DNeighbour has asked for money for her birthday as she desparately wants her very frizzy hair straightened. Always happy to help out if I can
Night night, sleep tight

Morning
Another five from the last couple of days:
!. At last, yesterday got DS1's self-employment accounts finished for the last tax year. Now to finish mine.
2. Managed to arrange that some documents I needed to deliver could go by registered post yesterday rather than a round trip of 80 miles in the car today. I've just checked and the letter's been delivered.
3. My mum thinks that a book I managed to get for £8 reduced from £82  (academic books can be stupid prices) which I needed to consult for a bit of work I'm doing will do very nicely for my dad's birthday present a bit later in the year. Double bargain and the perennial prezzie problem solved.
4. Both DSs are very busy doing other things for the next couple of days so I have lots of uninterrupted time to get on with my own work.
5. Electricity and Gas bill has just arrived and could have been much worse. They give bar charts comparing this quarter's consumption with the same one last year. Electricity is identical and Gas use (hot water, probably showers and I'm not too worried about that) is slightly up. I think the visual chart will help me challenge the DSs to try to switch things off more to see if we can get the electricity to drop in the next quarter.
Hope everyone has a good day today

Hi Everyone,
I had to laugh at all your comments about my cake. No, Chicken, it wasn't courgette! (surprise, surprise) It was banana. I have no idea why it was just exclamation marks... my computer has been doing some strange things this week, hasn't it!?!
1) NSD
2) Colleague brought in some yum samples in (sour dough bread and some twisty pastry things) from a supplier she met this morning.. scoffed all 3 of the pastries
3) Beautiful evening - got to drive home with the top down on the car.
4) Got a cheque back from my old insurance company
5) Did a reverbe and found two separate 5p coins
I have a nasty feeling that I am developing appendicitis... I have a uncomfortable pain in my lower right tummy which is getting a little more uncomfortable... so if I'm not here tomorrow you know where I'll be!
Night

Ladyhawk - be careful where you google for appendicitis symptoms, you may well end up with bubonic plague!! Hope it's nothing serious, take care......
1. NSD, yippee!!
2. My first AF order arrived - wow, so much stuff, we'll be fed for months
3. DD and I went through some more of her books and toys and we ended up with a big bag taken to the charity shop, as I found more bits and pieces in my room too
4. DD told me that she didn't want any friends over this week, she's loving having a mummy/daughter week, lucky meSo, until we go to our friends tomorrow evening, that's what we're doing, playing, chatting, singing, reading and cuddling. Bliss.
5. Not as many texts from OH today but glad that means he's having a great time in the glorious sunshine. I'm determined not to get too soppy and sappy, it's only 10 days til we see each other again
6. DD and I went for a lovely swim and plan on going for another one tomorrow morning - provided she spends the whole night in her own bed!!!
7. Went back to slimming club and thankfully have only put on 1/2lb in 3 weeks - phew!! Came home and had a very fattening puddingbut only half my main course
8. Best til last again - I PASSED my Science GCSE0 -
