hello! Another lovely day here.
1.Slept for 9 whole hours! How fabulous!
2.Good day at work.
3.Walking back to carpark & just admired the view of stunning, huge blue sky, gum trees , ducks a plenty! and generally people seem happier when the sun is out. We are having an unseasonably warm August.(still winter)
4.Home on time....usually running late getting away. After my rejuvenating sleep I felt quite energised & washed & ironed & hoovered & cleaned bathrooms & kitchen & made a chicken curry for tea!
5. Eating the yummiest lemon meringue pie a customer had handed in! I brought it home & was most tasty!
6.Another night out.....well it's PTA but it's still out & about!
Have a good one!0 -
Evening all.
1) A lovely, sunny day (although the sun's vanished now I'm home from work).
2) Bought some new bathroom scales to replace a set which broke after less than a month, which were in turn a replacement for a set that only lasted two months. The new ones are a different make (not surprisingly) and cost £2 less. :money:
3) HM veg tagine for lunch, which was nicer than when I originally made it - I must remember to make that recipe in advance and leave it overnight next time.
4) Very mean of me, but - laughing at the mog's attempts to find me when I called him - I was standing right behind him but he's going deaf and couldn't work out where my voice was coming from! :rotfl::o:o
5) Having spent a lot of time on the homes section of the forum recently - knowing that I've got a decent flat with a pleasant, non-interfering landlord. I've had my share of dud homes so I'm determined to make the most of this one!
Have a lovely evening, everyone.Back after a very long break!0 -
5 for today (so far) - Wednesday.
1) Half way to MrB coming back from holiday.
2) Went into town and did the charity shops. Think I found a new TV cabinet for the living room but will think about it before buying. Got smaller son a "new" T shirt.
3) Sons played well with some little army figures they bought from the charity shop.
4) Popped out to get some more wine equipment steriliser and have picked the blackberries ready to start some wine off later this evening. Last year's wine is still fermenting on my bedroom windowsill!
5) Couple of texts from MrB. :-)
6) Looking forward to watching Who do You Think You Are? Not sure who it is yet.0 -
1. Swoon
Lots of texts from OH already, he only flew this morning
xxx
2. Had a very lazy morning with DD, watching TV, sorting out a few more bits for the charity shop, putting some more things for sale on Amazon whilst the rain battered down
3. The sun came out at lunchtime so we got dressed and went out to a fabulous animal/play park - DD had a free entry voucher so whilst it was rather expensive it was at least half price, as shockingly, children 2 and over are charged the same as adults!!! DD had a whale of a time
4. During the rainy morning, I did an inventory of my food cupboards and have 36 tins of baked beans!! If there's ever a shortage, you know where to come...
5. Did my first AF order, free delivery over £40, so I carefully managed to spend £40.40, didn't want to take the mickey after allJust checked and it's already at Birmingham!
6. An old friend found me on FB, her profile picture shows her with her handsome hubby and a gorgeous baby - yippee!
7. Finished a really good book whilst watching DD play in the sunshine
8. Planning an early night after a soak in the bath to ease my aching leg after walking around the park for what felt like hours and hours (hmm, actually it was hours and hours, that'll explain it, lol).
9. Have made plans to go and see a lovely friend and her DD, who is a year older than my DD at the weekend - am going to take her a care package of some of the goodies from my AF order, as she's struggling to keep her head above water whilst trying to find a job after redundancy last year. Looking forward to seeing her and taking up a bottle of hooch to keep us well oiled when the girls are in bed0 -

Hi Everyone,
1) Busy old day in the London office. I managed to be exceptionally productive and get loads done.
2) NSD - took a very boring salad into work... and ate it rather being distracted by the rather yummy roasted butternut (a personal favourite)
3) Gorgeous sunshine this evening
4) Made some jumbleberry jam when I got home, to try to make some room in the freezer.
5) Made some !!!!!!! and walnut cake"... but forgot to put the walnuts in which really just makes it !!!!!!! cake". Nearly forgot the bananas to which would have made it "cake"
6) Was given a bag of jelly snakes at work... which I scoffed in very quick time!
Nightly night
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
