    Evening all

I've been a bit slack with my posting :o

    1) Very enjoyable weekend
    2) Going through my winter prepping and realising I haven't got much more to do
    3) Some sun over the weekend
    4) All washing line dried and ironed
    5) Neighbours cat popped round for an ear scratch - I love his visits to 'check' up on me :D
    6) Finally got around to ringing my mobile provider and sorting out my account
    7) Finally got around to mopping the kitchen floor....I really don't know why I hate it so much....it only takes 5 mins :o

Hope you all had a good day. Hugs to those that need them

Ladyhawk -glad to hear you are enjoying your new car. I can send you "virtual" eggs :)

Kittikins- yes we do live quite near to each other. I am east and you are west! Not near enough to share each others fayre though I'm afraid :( BTW - I agree with you "The Beach" was a great read.I am also not a Decaprio fan.

CCP - S Club 7 :rotfl:I am afraid I would have got out of bed and and had a lonely boogie/wiggle to this in my bedroom sadly enough. It would start as a shoulder twitch (like in the Full Monty)and the body would just have to follow. Go on admit it you did didn't you:rotfl:

Frith- absence makes the heart grow fonder;)

    5 for today

    1. A spot of light gardening.

    2. Picking another pot of blackberries from the garden to add to the others in the freezer. My old hen Marmite always follows me around when I do this and "growls" at me when she wants one or if I am not picking them fast enough for her.

    3. Bedding washed and dried on the line - its a pleasure getting in to sunshine sheets and sunshine pyjamas.

    4. Made Macaroni cheese for OH and added broccoli and cauliflower to mine.Yum. Hens finished off leftovers.

    5. Finished another library book and I am now half way through another. I am trying to resist reading the book OH got me until I have finished these first.

    Good night all x

Me too... hate it, hate it, hate it! but am always so pleased when it's done.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

10 for today (Sunday) - quite a fab day!

    1) Bit of a lie in thanks to 3 small boys not going to sleep til after midnight because of the sleepover.

    2) Croissants for breakfast.

    3) Walked sleepover boy home. Being a tiny village school, the catchment area is quite big so, although the 3rd nearest schoolchild to our house, he still lives over 2 miles away! Grand walk across the footpaths though - around corn fields (sloes growing nicely) - and it was baking hot and sunny.

    4) Had quite a simple lunch but it was just what we fancied - tuna and mayo sandwiches, some avacado and slices of apple.

    5) Finally got round to shortening the straps of a top I bought recently (charity shop find). Goodness knows who the top was designed for as I had to take 2 inches off and I'm hardly short! Anyway, it's a good fit now and another top to wear. Just the thing for the hot weather today.

    6) MrN's son5 came over with a DVD so he and sons sat on the sofa and watched that with the fan pointing at them!

    7) My school friend came round for tea and has just gone.

    8) Made pie for tea from yesterday's roast chicken with some brocolli added.

    9) Radio silence broken. :j :D:D Four lovely texts and a picture of MrB's sons on the beach. :)

    10) Going to have a long bath now then go to bed early (for me) and listen to the Archers on iplayer.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

    1. Funny chat with OH and DD :)

    2. DD and I had a fabulicious picnic at a local amphitheatre where we watched an amazing production of Wind in the Willows; she was transfixed by it, we often play at being Ratty and Moley when we're not being Anne and George from the Famous Five :)

    3. The sunshine, I really caught it yesterday, will have to wear a different top today to cover up a bit more!

    4. Low spend day

    5. DD and I have agreed a pocket money scheme - she wants to save up to buy something, so to help her reach her goal, if she strips the beds once a week and sets the table for dinner every night, I will give her 50p pocket money :) Great deal for both of us I think!

hello! Finally getting here to post the weekends and todays pleasures.

It has been a most lovely 3 days of sunshine!

    Saturday:
1.Up early (5am....come on brain...it is the weekend!) so phoned a friend & had a lovely chat with her.
    2.My 19th wedding anniversarry! My 10 months in Oz-versarry!
3.Saturday scone & paper reading session with my husband of 19 years.
4.Got tonnes of washing & ironing dried on line .
5.Take-away for tea for 5 was cheaper than romantic meal out for 2!

    Sunday:
1.Managed to sleep until 6am so phoned niece...only 5 weeks till baby is due.
2.Made lemon drizzle cake, a BANANA loaf (using precious bananas!) and choc chip cookies. Carrot & coriander soup all before 8am!
3.Headed out for a great day at the beach, was a very pleasant 19o. Kayaks in the sea & I got my book finished!
4.Spag bol for tea. Would have been so easy to have bought food on way home......however, we didn't!
5.Early to bed & slept like a log!

    Monday
1.From sunbathing to scraping ice of car in hours! Had to wait till windscreen defrosted before I headed off today however...the difference in a few days as to how light it was at 6.30am was amazing! Most pleasant!

    2. Good day at work.

3.Phone call from school (sigh.....again!) to say DD2 had a sore tummy an hour before I finished.....spoke to her, said I'd pick her up on way home & to have a glass of water & she would be fine! She was fine!

4.Absolutely glorious day! Most pleasant to drive home in.

    5.Watched Casualty on Iplayer

    6.Had a bath!

7.Still to come but going out with new friends tonight!

Phew! Have a great start to your week!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

I've had a very lazy day at home today as I've been having another bout of the sinus / balance problems I get occasionally - I discovered this when I got up this morning and the bedroom wall leapt out and attacked me. :o:(

    1) The problem seems to be short lived - I'm still feeling rather fuzzy-headed but at least the walls have stopped moving. ;)

    2) NSD.

    3) Got another batch of washing done, although I had to hang it up inside as the sky looks very threatening. :(

    4) Phoned my car insurance company and got confirmation that my replacement windscreen won't affect my no claims discount next year. :j

    5) I don't feel up to cooking tonight but I've got a freezer full of HM ready meals so I can still have a decent dinner. :)

Ladyhawk - I'm even more envious now I know you've got a VW - they're my favourite cars. I hoped to get one when I bought a new car earlier this year but ended up with a Citroen instead as I couldn't find a suitable VW at a price I could afford. :( I hope you're really enjoying yours.
Back after a very long break!

Oooh CCP, poor you, that sounds pretty darned nasty to be off-balance and sinusy :( Keep on relaxing and hope you feel 100% very very soon.

    1. DD and her little friend did a fantastic job tidying and hoovering my car and were very excited with their payment from OH, bless him for paying :)

    2. DD kindly shared her HUGE lollipop that the aforementioned friend gave her as a present from his holiday :)

    3. I packed us a yummy picnic and we took a leisurely drive towards OH's son's house and stopped off by a stream where DD paddled and we played games, ate like healthy piggies and enjoyed the sunshine :)

    4. I made scrummy hummous for our picnic, and there's leftovers for tomorrow nomnomnom

    5. Met OH's ex-wife when we went to pick OH's son up!! She was so nice and friendly

    6. NSD :)

    7. Made scrumptious soup in the slow cooker using up some of the courgettes OH's mum gave me, sadly not DD's favourite but I ate hers as well as mine!!

    8. Going to see OH tomorrow, thought today was the last time before his holiday, so yippee!! :) Shame it's him, me and our respective offspring going to see different films at roughly the same time at the same cinema, so no canoodling in the back row, lol.

    9. Resisted the call of an icecream whilst we were out, had a diet coke instead (must go and polish my halo! ;) )

    Ooooh, remembered another one:

    10. Sold a book on Amaz*n and was organised enough to recycle a padded envelope and patient enough to queue for about 20 minutes in the post office to send it off straightaway :)

CCP - I hope that you are feeling better soon:). I must admit I am a sucker for a German vehicle too. I have had a Golf, 2 old Beetles ( not Ringo or Sir Paul !!) and 2 Audis . They hold their value quite well too, I think.

    4 for today

    1. Finding an outside wall clock to replace the one that was a birthday gift in May , which was taken back to the shop and received a full refund as the clock face had "pickled". Found one I liked online and found it from the same supplier on ebay for less with free p & p . Also £3 better off than original clock. You guessed it.. it has a cockerel on it.

2.Hatchet in skull headache is finally clearing:) The oppressive weather today has induced this I feel.

3.Contacted by Physiotherapist at work and have an appointment next week.Which will hopefully alleviate some back pain:)

4.Thai prawn yellow curry for tea which helped to use up some veg and added rtc baby sweetcorn and mangetout. I refuse to pay £1.80 ish for tin of coconut milk so use creamed coconut mixed in hot water - much cheaper and tastes the same.

Chickenopolis - MrT's had coconut milk in for 59p a tin last time I bought some, I was hugely surprised as recently it's been very hard to find and hideously expensive when they do have it (and my local MrT's doesn't stock creamed coconut, grrrrrr).
