Ladyhawk what a lovely brother :D
forever saving what a lovely Mum :D

    1. Friends daughter getting into the uni of her choice :T
    2. Went to a nearby town I don't usually shop in to find they now have a B&M, and a £land! Had a little shopping spree of essentials, and treated myself to a pretty little blue watering can :o which I'll plant with primroses
    3. Called into the garden centre and got my nets of daffies and crocuses - to be planted when there's a dry day :D. Both were bogof so made a good saving.
    4. Got an invitation to my nieces wedding. Unfortunately I won't be able to go but it was nice to get it. They have their home already so asked everyone to make a donation to a charity of our choice which I thought was a nice idea.
    5. Made a start on the pile of papers which need filing/shredding. Where does it all come from? As soon as I get the spare bedroom/office cleared it's inundated again. A good job done though

    Night night, sleep tight

    2. A good pilates class - I am feeling it this morning.

    3. Managing to take lunch onto work and had a NSD.

    4. DS1 going to the zoo with friends. He has a lovely group of friends from school and its good that they all see each other in the uni holidays.

    Hi all

I am going to disappear for a few days, maybe weeks as I am about to go to a camping trip and then shortly after my return a week away with DH and then a week in Italy with the kids. So I just want to say goodbye and see you on my return from all my journeying. If I can I shall pop in between times away but in case you do not see me for longer periods of time now you know why!

Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Chicken - I can't believe how lucky I am. He did this last time I bought a car s well. I'll be making both him and my FSIL a very large cake tomorrow evening. Not that with even go the smallest way to showing them how grateful I am. :) Now I just have to work on my relationships with my other two brothers!

Surprise, surprise... it will be a giant... wait for it... COURGETTE CAKE!!!:rotfl:made with giant courgettes:rotfl:

I am having a much better day today. A hard copy of the document that I lost yesterday turned up in the printer pile this morning. I must have sent it to print last week and forgotten to pick it up.:j:j So i have asked my admin assistant to retype it for me. That will save a job for me.
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    hello, just heading bed ward!

1.5 weeks till we come home!

2.Productive work day but HURRAH for Friday! Told my manager he had been a lot more pleasant to work with this week!

3.Sat on a bench in a quiet , sunny area for about a whole 2 minutes whilst I was out on a message at work. A sneaky 2 minutes but very pleasant! watched & listened to some little ,tiny birds.

4.On drive home , whilst stuck in traffic appreciated the lovely flowers growing in the gardens. Magnolia trees are so stunning . Spring is my favourite season (well I like them all really!) however it is strange at this time of year seeing daffs growing!

5.Nice chat on phone with good friend. She said she has made a new friend & warmed to her as she looked like me! (gorgeous too, obviously!) Also had a catch up with my mum.

Have a lovely day whatever you're up to!

Ladyhawk- glad you are having a better day and it is Friday :)I hope your brother and FSIL like the giant courgette cake. I did laugh:rotfl:

    Caterina-Have a wonderful holiday x 3 ?:)

Mhagster- I love your posts especially when you are describing the seasons - I have to really think each time I read your posts .

    5 for today

    1. Stunning day here.

    2. Made OH and Mum a "posh" bread and butter pudding. I refuse to waste half of a perfectly decent loaf that OH "abandons".

    3. Yummy chicken chow mein made by yours truly. Someone on this thread ( sorry but I can't remember who) calls this "fake away" night.

    4. Found half a bag of an expensive brand of dishwasher tablets in a cavity behind the sink unit. I only use the really cheap ones now and reckon this will save about £50 a year:eek: I told OH as a treat we will use them over Christmas :rotfl:

    5. I am reading "The Beach" at the moment -I have never managed to stay awake during the film and OH and I enjoyed a good holiday some years back in Thailand and Ko Samui . The book is reminding me of places and good times that I had forgotten about:)

Have a great weekend everyone x
