Evening
Pleasures for today
1. All my friends children passing their A levels and getting the uni places they wanted
2. One friend brought cakes into work to celebrate No.1
3. Normally walk home from work but the bus was opposite the office as I left tonight and was raining so stayed dry
4. Lovely cottage pie for dinner using some wrinkly veg and potatoes.
5. Booked train tickets for collecting DD and managed to get them for a bargain price and used Tesco clubcard vouchers to pay so even better :money:
Hugs to all who need them. I'm about to have a bath and an early night as feeling really tired today.0 -
Grrr... an annoying day... grrr....:mad::mad::mad:
First of all it is miserable and cold and autumnal.:(:(:(
Then I found out that a document that I wrote last week has disappeared. I spent ages on it and think that I managed to close it without saving it....:mad::mad:
Then this evening I transferred the money from one of my accounts to another only to realise that it is going to probaby take 3 days to get there. So now I don't know if I can pick car tomorrow :mad::mad:
So now I need to think of some highlights to brighten up my day.
1) NSD
2) Everyone seemed a little demob happy in the office. Not sure why but it made a nice a difference
3) Nice easy supper of HM tomato sauce, with courgettes (of course) and y/s mushrooms. yum!
4) Received the invitation to my brothers wedding in November
I will have to come back with a 5th...

Pleasures today...
1. My brother is visiting for a few days from his home in Iceland (don't get to see him much so it's fab)
2. Went to a local (free!) community farm with hubby and son and had a picnic in the sunshine.
3. Going on holiday on Monday (yippee!). Not technically today I know but am getting excited.
4. I still have, and am about to eat, some of my delicious birthday cake left.
5. My dog is now walking properly after being three legged for a while due to cutting his paw.

CCP- I bet you also licked the spoon
Ladyhawk- not like you to have a :mad:day. Hope tommorrow is a better day for you:)
5 for today
1. OH suprised me by buying me a book that I casually mentioned that I would like to read - ( not even a teeny hint...honest) about rural Spain. Our friend has a villa in the mountains there and I have fond memories of our holiday there earlier this year.
2. Spending about £20 less on food shopping than I usually do. I am hoping to cut down my hours at work and want to test what cutting back without tears feels like:rotfl:Needs v wants etc.
3. Killer chickens were ferociously attacking a Seagull that they had pinned to the floor- lucky for the gull that I separated them all. I had my OH 's crocs on size 10 ish so I couldn't move very fast to break the fight up.Boy, my animals are so vicious and territorial. The pleasure was seeing the seagull had not come to any harm as he was sitting in my window box tapping on the kitchen window for cheese.
4.Seeing my "aunt" and giving her 6 of our "killer" chicken eggs.
5. My Mum brought me something for putting garden debris in from a large store that is closing down in our area.
Its sooo dark this evening:(
Have a good evening everyone x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

1. Enjoying breakfast and a coffee on my own, everyone else was in bed.
2. My Mum and Dad coming to see us before they go on holiday tomorrow.
3. My Mum giving me a £20 voucher for the local butchers. She said it has to be used and she doesn't have any room in her freezers.
4. Quick tea of chilli from the freezer. Made several last week and popped them all in the freezer.
5. Walked the dog in the rain. He loved it.

Chicken - I can't believe how lucky I am. He did this last time I bought a car s well. I'll be making both him and my FSIL a very large cake tomorrow evening. Not that with even go the smallest way to showing them how grateful I am.
Now I just have to work on my relationships with my other two brothers!

Very tired but will try and type something sensible!
We went to Nottingham today :-) So here are my 5 or so...
1) Good trains into Nottingham (it's about 95 miles). Played lots of Uno.
2) Went to the massive army surplus place which the boys loved. I was always a fan too! Stopped them buying police riot helmets (!) so they came away with 2 water bottles, a cheapy pair of binoculars and a hat.
3) Went by bus up to my old house then walked up to the University. The department I was in has been demolished and landscaping done! So that was a bit weird.
4) Back down into town for the usual photo by the Robin Hood statue, visit to the Trip to Jerusalem (old pub) then tea in McD's.
5) Lovely texts from MrB and we're just having a chat online.
6) Woke up this morning thinking "Oooo - Nottingham!" then "Ooo - going to MrB's house tomorrow!" :-)0
