2) Went swimming with sons and brother.
3) Gave living room ceiling its 2nd and final coat of paint. Room is really coming on now.
4) Tasty tea of pasta and brocolli cheese.

Evening all,
I'm a sleepy littly Hawk this evening after staying up last night to watch TV.
1) Went to watch Horrible Bosses tonight. It was supposed to be 241 at Orange Weds... alas I asked my colleague to pick up the tickets and gave her the code. unfortunately I didn't quite explain to her how Orange Weds works and she bought the tickets at full price... grrr!!! I'm not cross with her... I am cross with myself for just assumingshe was psychic! Anyway I thought HB was very funny, though I appreciate it is not everyone's cup of tea.
2) Free sandwich samples at work for lunch and a free bag of special edition Rorld Cup Rugby crisps. Followed by RTC melon
3) Customer services from VW called me to appologise for the behaviour of their staff. I am still not particularly happy with it but am not sure what else to do.
4) Went to the South Africa/ Portugese chicken chain for dinner... though as I don't eat poultry I enjoyed a beanie burger with chips... a nice treat.
5) Nice bottle of cider with dinner.
night all
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Frith I think you're great, you might start off your day not 100% but you always end up getting so much out of it
Nuttybabe well done on getting a shower all to yourself, not easy when you have LO's so no doubt it felt specially good
Kittikins what a super gift to pass on to your DD, and signed as well, makes it all the more special
1. Woken early by the mutt who wanted to go out, pleased he did because it was a really beautiful morning so I my first cuppa outside
2. Gave away more freecycling bits, if I keep on like this I won't just be decluttering, I'll be in an empty house!
3. Cleared the patio ready for the new table and chair set (1/2 price in an end of season sale) and moved my old pub-style bench into a corner, once the seats and extra struts were sawn off - thanks to a lovely neighbour who saw me struggling with my little hand saw and hopped across the fence with a man-sized one. The old table is handy for potting etc, so I don't have to use the new glass topped one
4. NSD
5. The rain at watering time. I love my new outside tap, it makes watering so easy but my bill is definitely going to go up!
Night night, hugs & sweet dreams

quick, quick as I really must get to bed!
1.Good day at work! The mornings are starting to get a tiny bit lighter....not pitch black at 6.30am now, birds were being noisy at carpark & said hello to my ducks & moorhens.
2.Had a nice chat with 'new' friend & we are going out on Monday night.
3.Home & big 2 & I nipped along to next town & grabbed some tea as we were going out tonight.
4.To see an amazing concert that DD2 was in. The choirs of many schools were involved & it told the story in song of the history of slavery-racial segregation & finally emancipation. Trully fantabulous!
5.Went for a quick drink before going into show. Then train home!
The not so pleasurable was getting my electricity bill. It is triple what it has always been , absolutely horrified by it! So going to have to be very careful from now on. I know it's winter but our main heating is gas. Will phone the company over the weekend as not very happy! Grrrrr.
Right ,hope you all have a good day! Tis bedtime! xx0 -
1. DD came home today

Evening all.
1) NSD.
2) There seems to be some progress on the sale of my grandmother's house - the electrical tests had to be re-done and my sister's partner (who works in the building trade) kindly offered to go over to make sure they were done properly this time. :A
3) Received a email with a voucher for pesto sauce and it looks like, deliberately or otherwise, it's been set up so you can print as many as you like - lots of cheap pesto for me!
4) Picked a handful of HG French beans for dinner.
5) Eating the scrapings of cheese and mustard sauce from the saucepan after making the sauce for dinner.
Have a good evening, all.Back after a very long break!0
