Hi! This is my first post on here, I've been reading through all of yours
So let me see if I can share my OS pleasures today
1. spending time with my family, particularly my 1 year old cusin whose birthday it was yesterday!
2. Discovering I like Pilau Rice, Tuna and Fried egg mixed together whilst trying to find a use for my last egg in the box!
3. Using some of my sentimental t-shirts that I didn't want to throw out, and wont wear again to make cushions for when I move house shortly!
4. Organising to do some volunteer work at the local art gallery
and 5..... hmmm, Raw rhubarb with a dippy bowl of sugar(not very healthy but reminds me of being a child!)

4. DD playing her flute
5. Long chat with friend whose been away for 3 weeks, meeting for coffee tomorrow.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

5. no hangover from celebrating no. 4
6. gave away the push along trike that dd and ds2 had. I really did not want to bin it but couldnt fit it in car to bring home to give to my sister and my kids too old for it.

4. DS2 not complaining about leaving the house at 6.30 for a D of E walk on Sunday.
5. Food from the freezer and kindly donated veg.

1.Good day at work!
2.Came out & it was most pleasant! Have opened some windows & front door to get some fresh air in the house....a nice change from being frozen!
3.DD2 is House Captain at her school & her team won the Athletics Championship.....so much delight for her!
4.I am going out with girls from work (boys not allowed!) tonight for dinner in the city. Really looking forward to catching up with them. I work with all of them but they only cross over shifts with each other. One of the girls is 21 tomorrow so I nabbed.......
5.A HUGE chocolate cake given to us by a grateful & very kind customer! Any left over I'll take in for the boys tomorrow!
So on that note ....off to make myself beautiful....need a couple of hours at least!
Have a good day x0 -
Happy BELATED Birthday CAROLYNTIA, hope you had a fabulicious day x
Welcome sb88, lovely pleasures, but......raw rhubarb?? It must be an acquired taste
Yesterday's goodies:
1. Quick chat with DD but she was 'busy' watching Wallace & Gromit with my dad so I didn't get much sense out of her
2. OH came with me to the hospital for my consultant appointment and was a great support
3. Consultant was friendly, but sadly I'm not going to get the surgery I was hoping for, and will have something a bit nastier, but the good things are: (1) I'm far too young for the replacement surgery (even though I feel like a wizened old hag some of the time, I am but a mere 40 years old) (2) the replacement would only last 4-5 years so turns out not to be as good an option as I thought it was (3) I'm going to have an arthoscopy in 3-4 months that might buy me a good amount of time before the fusion is necessary - keep fingers and toes crossed please!
4. Afterwards, OH made me realise that taking him out to dinner wasn't a particularly sensible idea financially, so we went to Sainsbugs and I bought a few YS bits and pieces to make our own 'thai takeaway' and jolly yummy it was too........grumble grumble, I still wanted to go out for dinner and not have the tidying up to do, lol
5. A friend has invited DD and I to join her and children on their holiday next year, so if I'm sensible and stop wasting money (a common complaint in the Kittikins household), I'll be able to afford to go twice, once with her, the other with OH
6. Now I know what's going to happen surgery-wise and ongoing life wise, I'm hoping that it will now give me the impetus to (a) lose weight so I can recover from surgery better! and (b) sort out the house so that I can plan a house move to somewhere with fewer steps!0 -
Sending love, thoughts and good vibes to (((CCP))) and ((kittikins))).
Back later with my 5
S x0 -
Hello, posting early as I might be going out with a chum tonight, once I get round to calling her to arrange it!!

3. Better chat with DD this morning
4. Cuddles with OH this morningNo DD coming in to natter!
5. Nice cup of tea and chat with OH's mummy when I dropped OH back home0 -

Evening all.
chickenopolis and sparrer - thanks very much for the good vibes for the meeting today - they seemed to work as, just before the meeting was about to start, my manager came over and said the information she had was wrong and I didn't need to be interviewed after all.
My 5 for today:
1) The cancellation of the above meeting.
2) Pruning my tomato plants and finding several more tomatoes hiding amongst the leaves.
3) Lazy dinner tonight - pasta bake made with a RM sauce (but it was on SO, which counts as MS, right?).
4) Football on the radio later.
5) The sun's now come out after a gloomy sort of day.
Have a good evening, all.Back after a very long break!0
