Think I'll try for 5 now as I will be busy later.

    1) Bit of a lie in.

    2) New living room!

    3) Smaller son made me honey on toast for breakfast.

    4) Nearly on top of all the cleaning.

    5) Popped to Sainsburys and got some nice bits to eat over the weekend.

    6) MrB leaving work shortly and is bringing me some left over emulsion and his paint rollers - very money saving!

    7) Local blackberries will be in the crumble for tea.

    Hi all

thank you for all your warm welcomes as always! Sorry I am not much here these days but I am trying to keep to my commitment of not being online for too long and to skip days too (then find the email in-box clogged, unfortunately, with junk!). I have edited my pleasure no.1 of the other day to make it sound a bit more moderate. I was really furious and now I am calmer so decided to shorten it. Thank you all for your kind support!

Here are my pleasures for today:

1 - Warm(ish) weather even if no sun so I went out in sleeveless top and sandals - hate it when I have to cover up in summer, feels wrong! As long as I can wear summery clothes I can take the clouds (just....).

2 - Went shopping in Lewisham to buy some gifts on behalf of DS, that he is taking to a friend in Hungary when he goes to visit her. A couple of shops have some of the windows boarded but life seems to have started to get back to normal.

3 - Bought a 10 Kg bag of red onions for £3, what a bargain! Normally I get a 4 Kg bag for £1.75 so this is a much better buy. They also have 25 Kg bags for £6 (white onions), but I did not have my trolley with me so could not get that one. That is a MASSIVE bargain indeed!

4 - Picnic lunch with DH in a small park near his work. I made it posh by buying some really nice deli stuff in Waitrose and it was good to share it on a bench in the outdoors!

5 - Tonight a friend and her son will have dinner with us so I am going "shopping" to the allotment, for salad, beans and rhubarb (planning an apple and rhubarb crumble for pudding).

Have a good evening all x
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Evening all.

As always, I hope you're all well. :)

    1) Deciding I've had enough of dieting and I'm going to take the weekend off. It's just nice to be able to eat what I want to eat rather than what I think I should be eating. :o

    2) I received a voucher from a supermarket for money off a new type of cider, then discovered I had another voucher for the same brand: I was able to use them both together to get a half-price bottle of cider. :money:

    3) Introducing a colleague to the use of bicarb for removing tea and coffee stains from mugs - the office mugs will be sparkling by the end of next week, I suspect. ;)

    4) I had some cuddles with the mog when I got home which unfortunately resulted in one of his claws getting tangled in my bracelet. Luckily I managed to un-tangle him before he panicked and scratched me or broke the bracelet.

    5) One of my favourite pasta dishes for dinner tonight.

Have a good Friday evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

    1. Coming home from work and washing and cleaning out the fascia boards and guttering with Stardrops.

    2. Getting the washing out on the line and it dried quite well considering it is so overcast.

    3. Re-made the Winter Preparation list, took some things off and added two more things in. Sorted out the Poundland/Primark/Wilkinsons shopping list for me to do next week (excludes food shopping).

    4. Looking at utility bills for switching and discussing with Npower their latest/best offers, which we will get dealt with next.

    5. Taking the dogs for a walk over the field, cooking dinner and watching the labrador eyeing up the bottom drawer/rack of the dishwasher for anything remotely lickable :rotfl:

    Hello Peeps,

Sparrer - sorry your date was not the man of your dreams... maybe you can use the knowledge gained to impress your next date?

    1) My annual review with the boss went exceptionally well. I thought he might focus on my stroppiness, but it was very positive and I am a happy bunny.

    2) laughing so hard that I was crying at my lovely colleague A. She is the one who has just finished treatment for cancer and her hair is just starting to grow back.. She took off her glasses and rubbed her face... and rubbed off her eyebrows.. which haven't grown back. Don't worry she pointed it out and was laughing as well. - I am not that rude

    3) Breakfast cake (more courgette!)

    4) Chatting to a school friend and a college friend on BBM. Both lovely girls.

    5) Its the weekend!!!

    Have a great one!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Evening all. :D

    Five for Friday:

    1. We've been having power cuts all week (problem with the local supply which has been impossible to track down) which means that we have been testing out/rediscovering all the candle supplies, torches, wind-up radios etc ready for winter. It's nice having an excuse to have lots of candles lit and brilliant that we have torches that work and batteries for the non-wind-up ones.

    2. Trip to MK IKEA and bought what we went for (and needed) so I have a sensible and plain big desk to work at and that's very motivating.

    3. All the things we didn't go for and didn't need and didn't buy at IKEA. I like shopping nowadays because it's quick and easy and I don't waste money.

    4. Melon for lunch as a treat.

    5. Getting two emails with positive news that I'd been waiting for.

    Sweet dreams
