Twit-twoo to Frith! Glad it went well!

1.Another early wakening :( I wish I could sleep till the alarm went off. However, phoned a friend from home.

2.Good day at work & got a lovely compliment from a customer. Had such a laugh with colleagues just before I finished for the day!

3.Driving home a different way and driving past very aspirational houses! Not in my price-league!

4.Not that I've had the benefit but it has been 19o today. The warmest start to August and our water reserves are at 60% capacity which is good.
    5. Having mince & tatties for tea with dumplings! (they are out a packet ,however, I have not been able to find suet & I am looking forward to them!) brocolli & carrots & turnips. Most yummity!

    Erm...Good for you! :j
Might/might not be the one but what an ego boost to know you're still very much in demand x

In addition to last nights post (don't think I've ever been that tired!)
Amendment to 2. the 19 plants were actually 16 plants and 3 trays of 6 so in fact 34 for £9
    3. Lovely, lovely neighbour gave me such a pretty bunch of flowers for giving her the chocs. Helped salve the hurt just a tad!
    4. Long phone call early evening with an aquaintance who I think will become a friend - she's really very nice :)
    5. Fingers crossed the cats haven't attempted to creep out of their beds at night and onto the new sofas, yet. Mind you I do cover the seats with a sheet of polythene before I go to bed :D

Happy Tuesday, hope everyone has a great day! No matter what it'll be better than mine, got to have the boob scan this pm. Ouchy :(

    Hellooooo.

This is my first attempt at this :)

    1) Some lovely rain on my bike to work which was cool and refreshing
    2) Got some work stuff completed and more stuff prep'ed so that it'll be easily done sooner rather than later
    3) Got an email from an old work mate who I haven't heard from in a while
    4) Free tea samples in the post - 10 bags of nice everyday tea, 10 bags of green tea and 2 special bags (one assam and on green and lotus flower)
    5) Boyf cooking dinner (homemade chicken and veg soup - stock made by me after Sunday roast, and veg from the garden. Will bake bread to go with it in a minute (joy!)

    Evening all.

    1) NSD - my first for some time what with one thing and another.

    2) Ordered another Amazon voucher from my survey points - I'm starting a new OU course in the autumn and am trying to collect enough vouchers to pay for all my set books. :money:

    3) LO lentil and tomato salad for lunch. I had intended to make enough for several portions but I'm glad I only had enough for dinner and one lunch - it was pleasant enough but a bit bland.

    4) I finally came to the conclusion that my favourite patio rose has died. :( On the positive side, it meant I had a container free for the dahlia I acquired from the RTC shelf a couple of weeks ago and had been trying to work out what to do with. :o

    5) Watching a red admiral butterfly sunbathing - they're such pretty insects. :)

    Have a good evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

    Good evening everyone,

Frith- glad to hear that your date went well and that Mr. N has not put you off of the male species:D Having read your posts about your life and your lovely boys, in my opinion you deserve someone to cherish you :)

Sparrer- I hope all went well with the mammogram.

    5 for today

    1. My colleagues at work sent me a chicken candle.

    2. Jerk chicken rice and peas for tea made in slow cooker. It was lovely.

    3. Posh bread and butter pudding made with double cream that was kicking around in the fridge a drop of vanilla extract and an uncut loaf that OH had only eaten half of which he was going to chuck out, as it wasn't "fresh enough" for him. The loaf cost £1.20 , I'm blowed if I was going to waste it. My Mum and OH ate it all and said it tasted like brioche.

    4. Due to my resistance of putting one item only in the oven , I asked my Mum (who lives next door) if she wanted to "use" my oven to cook her tea , whilst the bread and butter pudding was cooking. This saved her putting hers on. I have a feeling that thinking differently and sharing resources will be necessary for many of us due to the cost of just about everything increasing.I would still be OS even if I was a squillionaire, I just can't help it :)

    5. Lettuce seeds have aleady started growing and I only planted it at the weekend. Must be chicken poo compost.

Have a good evening everyone x

been off work ill today and yesterday, but still managed to get some stuff done around the house today

    1. 2 loads of washing done and drying on the airer indoors
    2. tidied my room a bit, and sorted into piles for recycling, ebay etc
    3. went to the supermarket and got some cans, rice etc for the storecupboard following my stock check on sunday. Ended up buying 2 loaves of Hovis Wholemeal bread which I love, as got a 75p loaf in Aldi, before spotting a 40p reduced loaf in Asda, which I've managed to squish into the freezer. Also got a £1 scented dehumidifer from Asda, and will get more if it works well & smells nice. The trip really took it out of me though!
    4. arranged an appointment at the optician on Thursday night
    5. put all my CDs in the right case in the car- sick of not being able to find the disc I'm looking for!
    6. arranged to pay my credit card by direct debit. Only took 4+ years to get round to that :-/
Hopefully make it back to work tomorrow. Planning to go upstairs now to have a shower and then head to bed with a film/ something on iplayer.

Well, thank you Chickenopolis, good of you to say so. :-)

Here are my 5 or more for today (Tuesday).

    1) Builders not here until 9 so I got a bit of a lie in.

    2) Plastering finished and looks really smooth. Half of the floor tiles down as well! Think I'll post a link- http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10150328536713384&set=a.10150325237773384.391713.670743383&type=1&theater

    3) No boys until 6.30pm so I took my mum to Sainsburys this morning. Got the school uniform we needed from Sains so just got to put the name tapes on now and we will be all ready for September!

    4) Lovely emails from he who shall be called MrB and he wants to meet up again next week. :-)

    5) Had a long "chat" on Facebook messenger thing with MrN's son4. It is so odd not seeing his boys every day any more. We must have chatted the best part of an hour, on and off - was lovely to catch up.

    6) Boys came back from their father's. Smaller son is sunburned all down his back which I'm not impressed with. :-( Sounds like they had a good time, if a bit frantic as ever.

    7) Just going to put the washing out then it'll be bath time for me then I'll have a cup of tea in bed and watch Holby City, I think.

Hope everyone is having a good evening.

    Hello Everyone,

Will try to find 5 ........ but it has been a sad day. One of my sons friends was hit by a motorbike last night and was killed. He was only 16 years old. Please, please remind your kids to use a crossing and not to cross the road while using a moble phone. It's so sad.

    1. I managed to get the free duvet cover from IKEA and was enjoying a free coffee in the cafe................... then I got the sad phone call from DS1.

    2. Visit to the dentist. If you could see my dentist you would understand! ;)

    3. Sausage casserole in the slow cooker.

    4. Watching the butterflies in the garden.

    5. Even though DS1 is infuriating and has given us a lot of worry over the last year. I am so glad he is safe.

    Hugs to all. Stay safe.

    Love HE x

Frith: Boo Hoo! Can't see your photos cos' I'm not on Facebook!Sounds lovely though.
