Good night all x

Hello Peeps!
I have missed you all very much, but I am back for the holidays and looking forward to reading about all your pleasures. I have been lost in EBay Land for the first week of the school hols. (A bit of a pleasure as I sold most of the stuff I listed, but a pain in the **** when you get complaints from people who have paid 99p for someting and want it to be immaculate!).
5 for Yesterday
1. DD1 had a sleepover in the garden on Saturday night. All the young people were very polite and helped clear up the mess in the morning. I shall miss them when they all go off to Uni.
2. Ironbridge Gorge Museum with DH, DS2 and 2 little friends. Used our free ARTFUND cards, so free entry instead of £60+ (EEEK!). The kids really enjoyed their OS day out.
3. The dog walked around with us too and was patted and petted all day. She was exhausted by the end as she doesn't like to walk too far, but very happy. :rotfl:
4. Won a hen house and 2 chickens on EBay! (This will be my new hobby when DD goes to Uni....... I will need to do something with the early mornings now I won't be taking her to swim training!) I am sooooooo excited!:j
5. Went to a BBQ at friends house and had a Hen husbandry lesson. Did I mention that I'm really excited about getting hens?
Have a lovely day.

Reverbe- thanks for the "head up" on the book. I read the Kath Kelly one too. I am ever so slightly cynical by nature and I predict as with the Kelly book that this could be feasible as long as you don't have a major physical disability.Kelly cycles and walks everyhere and humps around a huge back pack, with 4 litre bottles of water in it which she hauled in to a tree on one of her jaunts.
Also re her "hitching" adventures. I have dodged too many sexual predators to entertain this idea:rotfl:Men and women:eek:. I am sure that lots of you have had positive hitch hiking experiences though!
I will try reserve judgement until have read his book, there may be some info I can "use".
mrs. greentoad-the book is called The Moneyless Man : A Year of Freeconomic Living by Mark Boyle.:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

Evening all,
What a lovely day. I got a call from the Supply Chain director in Oz... to tell me... that they are not recruiting for the role any moreThey have decided to make it a more junior position. I've asked them to send over the spec just in case it would be suitable. I am sad but in a way I am relieved, cos now they cant say that I am not good enough.
1) Managed to raise £20+ from the cakes and stuff I took into work this morning. There were many happy noises coming from my greedy colleagues.
2) Good atmosphere in the office.
3) Walked into town at lunch time and didn't spend any money
4) Making myself a cheese and chutney sandwich while waiting for my carrot soup to heat up for supper, and thinking that they are probably one of my favourite snacks/ meals (the sandwich rather than the soup)
5) Having 10 blueberries from the bush in the garden for breakfast.
Nighty night
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0
