Big (((HUGS))) to the poorlies, get well NOW :A
Welcome newbies, good to have you on board :hello:
Can't wait to hear how the interviewees get on, everything X'd for you :)

    1. Yet another Reverbe today, found £1 on the ground where I got out of the car :D
    2. Visited DD who's not in so much pain. Have to take her back to the plastics dept on Thursday at 9am - don't these people realise we retirees don't do early? ;)
3, Went to visit a dear friend whose birthday is today, exactly one week before mine so I can tease her mercilessly for 7 days :p. Her pressie hasn't turn up yet so rather than go empty handed I shopped for flowers and got a beautiful gardenia, smothered in buds, for £3!
    4. Local shop had a stand of cheapy greetings cards, so got 6 for £1.50p to join the carrier bag full I already have :o
    5. Been looking for a nice picture to finish off the 'new' guest room, found the perfect one but I couldn't justify spending that much on a picture for a room which will be seldom used. This evening in my daily phone call to my DM she said she's sending me a cheque for my b/day...exactly that amount! Picture ordered :D. it's going to look so good in there I might even sleep in there myself, ha ha

    Night night, sweet dreams

5 or so for today (Monday).

    1) Boys to school happily.

    2) Spent 6 hours knocking plaster off the living room wall. :-S Glad that's done! Builders coming next Monday. At least, I hope they still are as half my furniture is in mum and dad's sheep barn and I've now a wall that is bare brick.

    3) Am going on a date on Wednesday. We'll call him MrR. :-) The other Guardian soulmates chappie that I really like is working in the US at the moment.

    4) Finished my book "Strange Fits of Passion" by Anita Shreve. (I think, have left it downstairs).

    5) Went swimming with sons and my brother.

    That's about it for today!

Oh yes and 6) About to go to bed with a hot water bottle (had to have the heater on earlier!) to listen to I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue.

Love it that you have to do a 'me', Reverbe! :rotfl:Sounds like you have been having an amazing effect on the planet/climate with money raining down everywhere. :D I shall concentrate a lot harder at looking at the ground from now on.

Fab news about the interviews, Ladyhawk and Carolyntia. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for the next bits of positive news.

Welcome to all the new people :hello:

    My five for Monday:

    1. Managed to borrow some extra equipment for a sports session we are running tomorrow and not having to pay a rental fee.

    2. DS2 agreed to come with me in the car to collect it so that I had some company for the drive and, on the way, he and I were able to talk through how he is going to fit in everything that he needs to do academically next year - good bit of multi-tasking.

    3. Set up a blog with a view to earning from it :D

    4. Chatting and laughing this evening with DSs.

    5. Lovely scrambled egg for supper.

    Sleep well

An early early monring pleasure, I got up specially for it. Bagged myself a ticket for the Vintage Festival at the Royal Festival Hall (South Bank) for £19, courtesy of Time Out Deals. Normally tickets cost a minimum of £60 which is way out more than I would (or could) spend! Now with this deal I can attend! Yippeeeee!

See you all later for more pleasures, have a good day x
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Good morning everyone. MY OS pleasures today are

    1. Waking early and having some time to have a cup of tea in bed.

    2. Hearing the birds and sheep outside.

    3. Having my 1st jar of home made tomato sauce with meatballs tonight. I made a big batch yesterday and got 7 jars worth. Reckon they cost about 35p to 40p each to make. Sterilised the jars and everything so they should keep in cupboard for ages.:j

    4. Just being on holiday and getting to be at home with my lovely children and being a mum and housewife for a few weeks.:D

    5. Reminding myself we are so lucky to be healthy and happy and have so much when there are many with so little and in poor health.

Much love to everyone today xxxx:A

Morning all - just waiting for the washing cycle to finish so i can hang it out before going to work.

    Mine for yesterday

    1. DD's birthday and she was thrilled with all her pressies. Especially the Disney Princess doll of sleeping beauty - nothing unusual in that? SHe is 15!! :rotfl: She had said a couple of weeks ago that she'd never had one (shocking mother that i am!) and was thrilled to get it!
    2. Did a 2.5 mile "run" and ran for 20 minutes of it non stop. I am definitely getting fitter
    3. Unexpected lunch out with friend. Probably the last one till September.
    4. Out for a meal for DD's birthday. We went to a Harvester and I had NO VOUCHERS! But in the end it was £38 for 4 of us and decent quality so i didn't think that was too bad.
    5. Got my favourite British Heart Foundation charity bag through last week. My favourite because they pretty much take anything and i sorted 4 bags of "stuff" for them (and as i type the van has arrived to collect them! :T)

(Blood brothers is the tale of twins who were separated at birth but grew up friends not knowing they were brothers, and their "mothers" tried to keep them apart - powerful stuff, but very funny at times too)

Have a good day in the rain all :(:p
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    hello!

1.all up for an early start as it was OH's birthday so we always make birthday pancakes when it's a birthday!

2.good day at work, was told by a customer I am always so happy & smiling! Ha......if she'd seen me a few months ago......however, I am so happy in my life at the moment & that is such a good feeling. And after all a smile costs nothing :)

3.Home briefly then back out & had my haircut, so looking nice for tonight & probably tomorrow! Didn't make a return appointment as I usually do as I will see my hairdresser when we go home! felt slightly guilty ....!

4.Made 'lasagne'! well that was the plan until I realised I had no lasagne sheets so made curly pasta & layered it all up & it was very well received.

5.Beautiful pud supplied by hubbies work! He got a lovely (expensive) cheesecake sent to his work for his birthday. A few candles stuck in & a very lovely birthday meal had by all.

Tomorrow we will have lived in Australia for 9 whole months. I feel I have came such a long way to acceptance of being here. Was a bit of a struggle initially. A bigger life change than I had ever anticipated. So I want to say thank you for all the positive comments I have received on here! It has really helped!

Have a good day......may you all find "Reverbe' money .....including Reverbe!

ETA Blood Brothers is an amazing musical. I saw it over 17 years ago in London & it was great. The music is just fantastic. I have the CD in a box somewhere in the garage!
