Morning all - working from home today, always a treat, even if it is marking, but at least it is a manageable amount.

    Mine for yesterday

    1. Watching Murdoch's squirm under questionning. Ignorance is no excuse
    2. Whoopsied goats cheese tart for tea - lovely. THis whoopsie thing can be quite addictive!
    3. My first quidco tracking has appeared ( yes i know i'm late to the party but i'm there now! :D)
    4. Have been accepted for a Clix trial - facial serum
    5. Got the family to stack the dishwasher and help tidy - a momentous event!

    Hope everyone enjoys their day.

    Morning,

May I join you please? Am self employed and all I seem to do is work or tout for it so need to really notice how many little happies I do get in the day.

    So for yesterday;

    1. Opening a new packet of filter coffee - I just love that smell.
    2. Watching the rain. I love the smell and how fresh it makes the gardens look.
    3. Seeing a really strong double rainbow.
    4. Gift of brand new Estee Lauder makeup range for the season from a client. She had been given a couple of sets and thought I would really appreciate one of them. (Oh and I do! :))
    5. Spending £ 2 on a lovely big bunch of summer flowers at the local market. End of day bargain that really improves the feng shui of my home and makes me smile.

    Have a great day.

hello on my 9 month anniversarry!

1.early start and productive day at work!
2.brought some danish pastries home from work ........very yummy! Didn't really need them but they were tasty!
3.repaired my favourite pair of jeans! They had worn away and a wee hole had developed. So a bit of wunda web & a patch of denim & they are good to go!
4.took DD2 on a mystery tour! There is a supposed 'shortcut 'to work , so thought I'd try it but not when I was going to work if that makes sense. So DD2 & I went but will not save me any time but did see some gorgeous houses along the way!
5.Played 'Just Dance' on the wii with DD1.......oh how we laughed! Luckily no-one else saw us!
6.DD2 telling me that they have a student teacher in class & she took the time to help her with some maths & made it sound easy.

I agree with sparrer but as I'm just about to go to France, I'd say pains au chocolat are even more vital to sustain life ;):)

I bought a lovely cardigan in the Next sale on Saturday and although the design and shape was beautiful the colour was utterly drab and depressing. I bought a box of Dylon from Wilkinsons yesterday and I have dyed it today a gorgeous colour of lavender and it looks great. I am well pleased with that. I don't mind blacks, white and greys in principle but this was a hideous dark grey and it would have looked very monochrome. This way I get a fabby colour cardigan in the colour I want :)

Yesterday I had a wonderful day:

    1) sold my car, after two weeks of time wasters and no-shows. I didn't realise how stressful it was going to be so *big* sigh of relief now it's gone.
    2) got a larger refund on my old car's insurance than expected! Last time I called, they said I'd get a refund of £110 and now it's £160 (I think the earlier figure was due to incompetence on their end).
    3) I reconnected with a very old friend

Today I'm cleaning the house and making bread. Can't wait to sit down and look around at a dust-free and hoovered flat!
