    Evening all...

Do we now have a gentleman in our midst??? Welshcamper?

Thank you everyone for the positive thoughts for my interview :j Well done Carolyntia... Good luck for tomorrow - let us know how it goes.

Mhags - sadly my interview is a video conference - so no trip out to visit you adopted city

Nuttybabe - glad you managed to have a quiet day to recouperate. Hope the medication is helping.

CCP - such a nasty mum inflecting such extreme torture on Kitty ;).

Caterina - how is the hair looking? what colour have you gone for this time? daring purple???

Rach - how clever of you making sugar flowers!

VJsmum - what's Blood Brothers about? I have seen the posters for it in London but don't know the story.

MrsB - Happy birthday to your little one...

Sparrer - Well done on getting the refund on the curtains... and hope you enjoyed the choccies

Tealady - you are so good decorating your bra... :AI haven't done mine or sorted an outfit... or raised any money...

    So my pleasures for today....

    1) Email about the interview :j:j:j:j:j:j

    2) I had a good heart to heart with my boss and I feel so much better for it. I got some really good advice from one of our HR directors which enabled to have a very sensible chat. Basically he didn't know that my colleague was taking over the project and he thought that we were sharing it! Anyway within half an hour of my leaving his office my boss had spoken to the colleague involved and fingers crossed things will now be different going forward:j:j:j:j:j:j. I am really proud of myself for approaching the situation in a grown up manner rather than letting it fester.

    3) My boss telling me how much he values my work

    4) Took some clothes back to Ne*xt which I had bought in the sale...they were ghastly so I have no idea what posessed me to buy them

    5) Good chat with my friend L - she was also having problems at work but managed to resolve them today as well.

We had a bit of an incident work at lunch. One of the ladies a work with has brough her neice in for a few days work experience. Once the neice had finished her lunch she disappeared. About 5 minutes later, my colleague gasped and ran out of the room... turns out the neice is bulimic :( Poor girl.

Anyway - hope you all have a great evening.

    L

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Damn... we'll just have to work harder to lure one into our coven...:)

I misread your last pleasure - I thought you meant your son and your wife, rather than your son and his wife... unless I need to be more broadminded about things?

    Evening

    Nuttybabe - Get well NOW
Carolyntia - Good luck with the interview

    Pleasures for today;
    1. This is actually one from yesterday that I can't believe I forgot. DD and I did a massive Reverbe whilst out walking / cycling and found about £3.50 in change scattered across the pavement. There was no one about so just pick up the coins and they are now in DD's money box.
    2. I bought a new bike today that I will pick up on Thursday, was quite expensive but decided it is still MSE as will mean no bus fares.
    3. Pleasant lunch with someone from another office. I didn't think we would get on but we had quite a nice chat over lunch.
    4. A cornetto after dinner, naughty but nice
    5. Little snooze in the chair

Hugs to all who need them

    Evening all  I'm back!!!

Thank you for all you good wishes. The interview is at 4.30pm tomorrow. I'd really like to get this one as it would launch the international side of my career and it's with a big company. I'd have to contract which would mean setting myself up as a limited company. This also means I've been going through all the expenses etc trying to work out the level of pay I'm going to have to ask for :o

Nuttybabe - get well soon - hopefully the tablets are kicking in nicely now

    1) Phone call from the agency this morning about the interview. Apparently the company only got my CV this morning and were straight on the phone - they wanted to interview me at 8am tomorrow but I'll be at work so I'm making them wait :D. The lad from the agency was incredibly excited - he hadn't realised what a specialised field I work in and how rare we are - I'm sure I can hear him counting his commission already :rotfl:
    2) Very relaxed day at work
    3) A few flirty texts from MrB who seemed suitably impressed that I'm doing well in my chosen field
    4) Sticking to my healthy eating plan
    5) Everything ready for work in the morning - including my salad lunch:o
    6) Knowing that I'll be able to hand back a rather unpleasant job to someone else tomorrow when he comes back from his hols - unfortunately the design didn't appear while he was away so I didn't actually get to do any work on it :D

Sorry if I've rambled but I'm so excited about the interview - must stay cool, calm and collected

Hope you all had a good day. Hugs to those that need them
