What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
hello
was a very foggy start to the day until the sun broke through at midday.
1.Good but oh so busy day at work.....however, managed to laugh (hysterically at times!).
2.nice to see the sunshine, not very warm but bright!
3.went to shopping mall in next town. Had a bite to eat & a wander round some shops. Didn't spent much!
4.Met 3 lovely guide dogs for the blind & 3 volunteer owners, had a good chat with them & the dogs were gorgeous. Girls got free posters with very cute puppies on them!
5.playing a 'scrabble' type game on my phone.......multi-tasking by playing with my husband, my son & a friend in Tasmania!0 -
Bets of luck with that. I tried looking at it a coupla times after ppl posting here but tended just to find the types of guys I wouldnt touch with a bargepole or guys who were generally ok and even quite appealling but were the balding/receding or beirdy weirdy types
:(:(
Oh, I don't think all balding/receding males are that bad! My DS is 29 and verrry thin on top, doesn't stop him being a pleasant looking, very interesting, thoughtful and caring person though. But then I could be prejudiced...:D;)0 -
Glad to hear youre happy sparrer.. personally its not my taste. TBH it would just like once to even have one date with a man I find attractive.. sort of a bucket list thing,..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:So glad you have found yourself a very nice man to spend your time with.. a real daily pleasure:beer:What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0

Evening all.
Frith et al - I think you're so brave using internet dating sites! I'm far too shy to do that - the thought of arranging a meeting with a complete stranger makes me
Anyway, my pleasures for today:
1) Another free lunch, and it was a bit better today as there was a different lady on the lunch stall who let you choose which sandwich filling you wanted rather than just getting what you were given.
2) Being very grateful I didn't go for the hot lunch option after spending some time watching one of the chefs in the kitchen - he was blending a pan of soup with a hand blender, took the blender out of the soup and put it on the floor, added some veg, then picked the blender up off the floor and put it back in the soup! :eek:_pale_
3) Found 2p in the office car park.
4) Finished watering the garden just before it started raining. At least I didn't get rained on!
5) I was tempted to buy a pizza for dinner but successfully resisted temptation and will be making ciabatta pizza instead. :money:
Have a good evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
My five today:-
1. My lovely new preserving pan.
2. Making beetroot relish with homegrown beetroot which wouldn't be watered when we go on hols, so used them up this way.
3. Lovely chicken with lots of homegrown salady bits for lunch.
4. Yummy granary rolls made in the Remoska :j use less leccy.
5. Trying to have short breaks off my feet throughout the day as I have Metatasalgia following bunion surgery. Have to work harder to perfect this art as I'm a 'doing' person.

Hiya
Mine for today
1. Beds airing and kitchen cleaned before school run
2. Back to quickly hoover house and clean bathroom before sports day
3. Ds2 sports day. He is 3 and kept slowing down and smiling at me as he was racing past and even swapping lanes in one race, but he looked so cute
4. Homemade spiced loaf for lunch. It was absolutly delish!
5. My £5 golddigga winter boots arrived. They are fur lined! It is that bad that I really want it to snow tomorrow so I can wear them!!!! lol
6. Friday night so fakeout night. Tried a new dough receipe and new tom sauce receipe and it was gert lush. And had lots of cuddles from ds2 whilst watching a film.
7. School reports. All good. There were a few bits of ds1's that werent as good as expected but they all got A's for effort and that is the main thing. As long as they are doing their best and its an added bonus that ds1 (mostly) and dd are above expected for their year. and yes i am bragging!!!!0 -

Some of us sadly don't seem to have much luck any other way.
1) it's the weekend.... yay!
2) 2 hour lunch
3) Got my hair cut(20% off)
4) yummy pudding tonight... greek yoghurt with honey
5) Enjoyed wearing my new t-shirt to work... it's got a large cartoon dragon on the front which says Booo! It made other people smile as well
Night night
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Frith, Ladyhawk et al - good luck with the online dating, its how I met OH *swoon* ....(and a few others previously....yup there are some wierdos but once you get past the idiots who just treat dating like a human aRG0S catalogue and move on from one to the next girl at the drop of a hat, there are some genuinely lovely men out there, just treat it as an excuse to go and have some fun and if you find someone lovely then all the better!!). All my girlfriends are married or partnered up, noone has any single male friends and I rarely go out, so in order to have some form of social life, I decided online dating was for me
A couple of my friends have met their husbands that way, the loveliest chaps. I tend to meet the wallies, but I'm 7 months in with OH now and it just gets better every time I see him, even when he's being a silly sausage and getting on my nerves!!
1. DD and I did some weeding this afternoon (yup, I know, not really a pleasure) but the excitement of doing a Reverbe and finding 50p was a big pleasure
2. DD's school report was fantastic, I felt so proud of her and pleased that she's inherited my beauty, wit AND intellience, lol
3. Spent the day with OHHe's been feeling a bit pants all week, so it was nice just to "be" with him rather than rushing about as a family with DD, we've got tomorrow for that
4. DD and I had fun at the school disco, her first.....bless!
5. NSD, hoorah!0 -
Evening all. Am going to post early tonight because I need to get on with some work and the computer is going off for the rest of the evening (unless I use it for iplayer radio for background noise while I sort paperwork. Definitely nothing else though).
Here's my five for Friday:
1. Getting all the rest of the club sports washed and everything line dried.
2. Enjoying reading a friend's blog. She makes me smile.
3. DS1 coming home with a foraged bagful of samphire from a 19yr old friend who gave it to him to try. I'm looking forward to a taste too. I've never had it before. I love it that older teens are finding out about food for free.
4. Sitting down with DS2 and, at long last, getting him to make some decisions about educational goals for next year.
5. Having the house still looking fabulous.
Sweet dreams,
B x0
