That book apparently comes with a kit to make the bag on the front.

Thought it was really nice the forums were closed for two minutes to observe the silence.

I have to agree! Poor Birdie! Lol at your OH thinking you were trying to ebay it:rotfl:

My OH has this aboriginal pointillist painting that he bought in Australia - it's hideous! And also HUGE! And, most importantly, it's under the bed!
It's like this aerial landscape in all sorts of weird earthy colours which would be fine but then there are little piles of those gross witchety (?!) grubs everywhere, which are about 3 inches long - it's yuck!

I'm going to have to see a photo of that, I can't for the life of me picture that in my mind!

Gosh, the sewing sounds very complex! I'm going to try to do some simple projects I think. I put the Cath Kidston 'Sew' book on my birthday list which I texted to my mum - unfortunately predictive text interfered and my mum thought I'd asked for something really inappropriate :rotfl:

:rotfl:I had to think really hard about that one but figured it out... after looking at my phone keypad!

Flower, I'm afraid of going to have to pass your hurtful comments onto OH, he'll be most upset! :p

OH saw me uploading the photo yesterday and panicked because he thought I was putting it on ebay

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Aw bless!

Certainly will have a look for some chalk Dinah, though I got mine from Ebay ... Poddle, I know what you mean, it comes up whenever I type 'sew' in!

I missed the silence, didn't realise the time! I think I was on the phone to some idiot teacher complaining on

PMSL at OH thinking you were trying to Ebay it Birdie :T
Dinah, why are you making a dress for a giant? :D

Thanks for the drinks help too, one thing I can be a little more hopeful about. I know some people have champagne for the top table and cava for the rest ;) Ooh, I could kill for a glass of champagne now - my bro sent out a gorgeous bottle to celebrate our engagement and it's just sat here looking at me...empty

Lol its a dress for me, just it seems about a foot too long, plus it is an evening gown anyway, with a skirt with a small train!

Nah I think thats really cheap, and for the sake of about £100 I'm not having a class system in my wedding!

If you were having a real class system, the distant relatives you don't like would be getting Lambrini!

Fancy choosing to make a fancy evening gown for you first sewing project! You're nothing if not ambitious! I'd be making a cushion cover!

I thought I was being ambitious by having a skirt with a few gathers in it! :D
