sounds too good to be true,,,,,well in my experience it is..... i ordered these knives thinking i had nothing to lose (a set of knives for £1.99 + postage) even if i thru them in the bin after 6 months it wouldn't matter.
i ordered the knives on 10th nov 2010, they took the money from my ac on 12th nov, no knives where delivered, so i called the company and was told that they were out of stock and would be in stock week commencing 29th nov. i sent email asking for them to confirm that this was the case and that the knives would be shipped out to me week commencing 29th nov,,,,,still no knives. after calling them again and being told that the knives where still not in stock (due to the weather !!) i asked them to cancel my order. on the 3rd dec 2010 i received an email saying that the order had been cancelled and a refund would show on my account with-in 3-5 working days....on the 17th dec,, still no money in my account i again emailed them giving them until 22nd dec to refund my money otherwise i would be informing my local trading standards office of their company pranctice. still no refund, so i contacted paypal and opened a dispute with them on 2nd jan 2011, the same day (thanks to paypal ) it was resolved and the money refunded back into my paypal account. Believe it or not i have just had an email from this company this morning saying that they have checked their records and the refund has been made. not bad i suppose that it took over a month to respond to the last email.... MY ADVICE STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY --knives for £1.99 --just not worth all the hassel....:eek:

sadly (and I can't believe this), I have just fallen for this scam.
But when I phoned Mastercard this morning, they told me that 2 payments are pending & that they can't stop them!
I have to wait until they go through & then I can start a dispute.
Why can't I cancel now? Especially as they have fraudulently charged me twice.

I just saw this offer (well it was the handsfree tin opener that caught my lazy eye!) and came here to check out the company. Glad I did as I was tempted by the knives as well.

Just wondered though. It appears you can pay via sagepay or paypal. Personally I would have chosen paypal as I know nothing of sagepay but can Jean Patrique take multiple payments if you pay via these companies?

BEWARE!!! This site is a total con, please google them and check out review sites that independently review and you will find literaly dozens of customers that wish they had never heard of this company.
Complaints range from being charged twice on credit cards for only one set of knives, knives sent of poor quality, no way to get a refund, to spending a fortune on calls to try and complain and return goods and claim a refund.

This is one company to AVOID! Like they say, if it seems to be too good to be true!

I ordered these knives, then researched them on the net, I was horrified to find this being talked about as a scam, so I contacted paypal to open a dispute. I received an answer from Jean Patrique web site straight away, telling me the knives were dispatched.
Well I am happy to say I have received the knives and I am very pleased with them........... excellent value for money.
TIP- if you ever order from a web site and you are not sure if it is genuine, then pay by PAYPAL and not a credit or debit card, this way you can open a dispute if goods are not received, and get a quick answer

I only posted on here because I read all the other posts, and I am genuinely pleased with what I have received.... so..what if they only last 6 months, and, so.. what if they need to be sparpened more than expensive knives......... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR... I spend more on chocolate than what these have cost... If they last me 6 months.. then as far as I am concerned.. I will have had my money's worth

this is the first (and the last) time I have ever put a comment on any type of forum, and I can not believe the speed of the reply by the above person................and feel truly shocked that someone should question my authenticity..... I have read all the comments on this subject, and I felt I should show a positive review to counteract the negative ones.
I never realised that there were people who spent their time monitoring what people write in forums and then questioning their validity ... You learn something new every day

I still do get these emails.

the crafty thing i done though, which i just found out after a few months got me lol.

I bought a piece set for 99p + 7.99 for my mum.

Now as a live away from my mum, she didnt tell me she had received them.

I complained, and lukicly reading through this,i originally paid through paypal.

But they also refunded me too.

however, she now gets a 3.50 magazine called delicious through the door, which has a mini mag of jp

Are delicious and jp related in anyway, as i hope they are not charging my account without me knowing.

I just came on here to see what's being said about the knife offer and couldn't believe the rude rubbish coming from you and the delightful sarah1972. I use several forums and haven't seen unnecessary and unprompted rubbish like that for a long time. I've only registered to reply. Let's see if you're big enough to apologise to jaytay50.....I doubt it. Or, let's see if you'll predictably have a go at me too?! Maybe you should have a little think about what forums are for.
