Long day yesterday so didn't get a chance to update.

Thursday - left home at 7.30am and back home at 11pm. Spent half the day at the football club and the other half with the kids in Dorset. Football club was buzzing as there were three new players and seven trialists so a lot of new faces. Bought a Meal Deal from Tesco on the way down and had an apple instead of the crisps with it.

Bought tea for the kids when I got there and treated myself (and them) to a chip supper, my first for a long while though it did cost me £6.00.

Friday - delivered two paper rounds this morning then popped into Asda for the weekly shop on the way home. £33.49 later and back home to do some stories for the website. Picked boys up from school then settled down to watch the double header of football till they went to bed half an hour ago.

Not much planned for tomorrow except a little bit of football training, weeding the garden, mowing the lawn and maybe attacking some paperwork.

Have done the square root of naff all today but doesn't really matter.... ;)

Took the boys around the park after dinner to get some fresh air into their lungs but having a late night last night ( watched the end of the football ) meant we were sluggish all day. Boys went to bed earlier tonight as the match ended in normal time.

Tomorrow? Well we've got to be up early as DS2 has a football tournament starting at 8.30am then lunch before a chilled out afternoon. Taking them back at 5pm before showering then off to the quiz.

Just a quick update now as off to bed.

Sunday - went to the football tournament in the morning and both teams got to the semi-finals. One team lost on penalties and the other lost after extra time....:(. Took the boys back home at 5pm then off to the pub quiz where we won, yes we actually won!! £31 between three of us which was nice.

Bought a round of drinks (only two - £5.20), put £20.00 of petrol in and paid a quid for the quiz entry.

Today - delivered two paper rounds this morning and have been working on the programme and the website ever since. Did some recycling this evening and sorted some other paperwork out too.

Tomorrow I'm off to the football club for a meeting about next season. That's about it!!

Money-wise, was a little naughty today by buying both lunch (£2.00 from Tesco) and tea (£4.82 including a paper from a garage on the way home). In between, spent all day in a meeting at the football club discussing next season's programme and my workload for the next year or so!

Tomorrow is boys coming round day...:j but before then, I've got to do some shopping, two paper rounds, some website work and once the boys are here, I've got to take them for a passport photo session for their football ID cards for next season.

Went shopping early today, back home by 8am in fact. Spent £9.08 for a few bits and bobs. Rang boys then went out to laundry to do weekly wash (still no cheap washing machines about :( ). Some of my money jammed in the machine so the laundry owner (mate of mine) came out and sorted it...spent £5.60 in total.

Back home then out again to do the papers (two rounds) before returning for lunch. Picked the boys up from school then fed them before taking them to football training. Had to do all the registration forms tonight so barely saw any of DS3's first training session in four months after his double wrist fracture.

Tonight have been working on the wesbite while watching the football.

Tomorrow has to see me weeding the garden, do two paper rounds, sort out my top tray of paperwork and also sort out my Fantasy World Cup team. I entered it four weeks ago, costing a tenner, but as of now, I'm leading it with two matches to go. I'll win a whopping £80 if I'm top on Sunday night...:T:j

Today will be best remembered as the day that final pound went so I can say that I've now lost two stone! :j:j:j:j

Weighed in this morning a pound above but two paper rounds at a brisk pace in warm conditions soon saw a couple of pounds drop off nicely.:D

Other than that, haven't done a large amount today other than maintain the website again. It is certainly looking well maintained now anyway.

Tomorrow is the last two paper rounds then shopping, lunch and collecting the boys from home as they have an inset day. They're going on holiday with their mum, sister and sister's friend on Monday so when they go back on Sunday, I won't see them till Friday.:(

Brief update as I'm tired tonight.

Friday - went shopping early in the morning spending about £28 in Asda before then going to finish the last two paper rounds off. Picked the boys up early as they had an inset day at school but we didn't really do a lot as it was so hot.

Today - had a football tournament this morning which one team ended up going out on penalties while the other didn't qualify from the group stages. Spent £2 getting in (including a programme) but resisted the burgers and hot dogs.

Came home, had lunch then went around the park for a couple of hours. My local team were playing there so we watched them in the friendly for the last half an hour. Home for tea, then a shower then snuggle up on the sofa for the football.:D

Boys have a free day tomorrow and after I drop them back home at 5pm, we're off to the quiz a bit earlier as the World Cup Final will be on at the pub. The boys are also off to holiday on Monday morning.

Crumbs, four days since I last updated....

Sunday - didn't do much at all really. Went around the park with the boys in the afternoon then dropped them home at 5pm. The pub quiz in the evening was slightly different in that the football was on and the quiz was written questions rather than spoken by the quiz mistress. We came second anyway so won eight drinks tokens for next week though.

Monday - went to Derby in the morning for a Football League meeting meaning I left home at 6.30am. Meeting ended at 3pm then straight down the M1 to Stevenage and the football team's hotel. Manna from heaven for a fan like myself...

Tuesday - just mooched around the hotel until 4pm when the team left to travel to the venue for the friendly match. Game ended at 8.15pm and drove back to Bristol arriving home at midnight.

Wednesday - got up late then delivered two rounds of papers and did a small shop (£14.83) in Asda.

Spends - the quiz was a pound, drinks were from the winnings from last week. Spent £6.30 on breakfast at the services. Meals were free at the hotel but spent £7 on a round of drinks there. Meal at the services was free on the way home as there was no crockery, only plastic forks, and we complained at the ludicrousness of it.

Tomorrow is another busy day, off to the football club in the morning and to see my older two children in the afternoon/ evening.

Yesterday went down to the football club and worked from 9.30 till 3 before heading off to visit DS1 and DD1. DS1 was going out with friends and missed his train so I gave him a lift over thus saving him a few squid.

Stayed with daughter until late evening then went home.

Today had a myriad of stories to write for the website, around half a dozen, so only did one lot of papers this morning. Did the weekly shop (well a smaller than normal one) costing £12.92 I think. Boys came round just after three, boy I missed them as they've been on holiday all week. Longest I've been apart from them for quite a few years...:(

Tomorrow we're all off to football for the first official pre-season friendly.

Brief update as off to bed. Went to football today, the team lost the first official big friendly 1-0 but a decent performance.

Spent a pound on a Golden Gamble ticket and that was it for spends today....:T
