How awful for your son - assume football practice has stopped so he won't miss it again?
My DD broke her arm twice in a matter of months and then broke her other one as well - we had 3 breaks in about 9 months!!!
I was worried Social Services would come round but they did not.
The 2nd fracture of the same arm I am convinced happened because the bone was still fragile from the original break but you can't wrap them in cotton wool forever.
I still panic now if she hurts her arm although now she knows straight away whether it is broken - I think it is the level of pain. Bless her!!

Hi EE,
Yes football training has finished for five weeks but restarts next Wednesday ready for the four summer tournaments (27 Jun and 3, 10 and 24 July). He'll definitely miss the first three and probably the fourth as well as it will only be six weeks from break to matchday, unlikely to be properly healed. He's just as gutted to be missing golf as he's got a special talent with golf....:(
Today's update. Worked at the football club from 9.30am to 3.00pm then off to meet up with my older two children. DS1 passed his theory driving test today so good day for him. Got back around ten and have been sorting paperwork out since then.
Tomorrow? Pick the twins up from school after shopping and delivering two paper rounds.
Todays' spend was £5.12 on a mini shop.0 -
Delivered two paper rounds this morning, back for lunch then out shopping. Spent £18.55, (£20.00 on diesel yesterday by the way) then collected boys from school.
Went to the twins football club presentation night tonight. Both boys got their annual trophies plus DS2 won "Clubman of the year" which is an award for the reliable, steady, consistent, sort of player. Spent £5.35 on three drinks for me and two for the boys.0 -
Walked up the shop this morning to buy a copy of the Sun which came with a free flag and some butter (which didn't come with a flag) and totalled £1.65.
Stayed in the rest of the time and watched all three World Cup matches. Don't feel too bad about it as it's pretty much football all the way from the weekend after next until May 2011 .
Tomorrow will probably consist of staying in again and I might give the quiz a miss tomorrow night as well.0 -
Mart, just nipping in to say hello, I am sorry about your son's wrist however it does enable guilt free potato couching for the World Cup! Well done on the weight loss.0

Updated but then lost internet connection....
Didn't say much really... been in all day today except for taking boys home hence it's been a no spend day. Bit tired so gave the quiz a miss tonight.0 -
Been a good organising day today from the moment I got up.
HB and the paper money went in this morning and it's all gone bar £6 tonight.Paid my rent today (actually walked up to the landlords house half a mile away) and also settled my maintenance payment too.
Took my washing up to the laundry. Managed to squeeze it into a smaller washer hence it cost me £4 instead of £6 and dried it in less time than normal, costing £2.00. Also went to the recycling facility and recycled all the papers, bottles and cans...:A
Came back and sorted out the car insurance, did three standing order mandates for my creditors to start paying some token payments and applied to become a Betterware distributor. Wrote three articles for the website (about to start another one) and stuck £11 of petrol in the car.
Genuinely hoping that tomorrow can be an equally productive day. Looking to finish off some paperwork, tidy the house up hoovering right through, there's another two stories needing to be written and the back lawn needs mowing while the front garden needs weeding. Other than that, hoping to relax sometime soon.0 -
Another productive, if not profitable day, today...:D
Posted the letters to my creditors this morning and also invested in an academic diary from WH Smith for the website planning work. It will help me stay ultra-organised next season and, as its from July 1st this year till August 2011, it fits in almost perfectly with the football season.
Popped into Asda for a few things ahead of the boys coming tomorrow and spent £13.74. Since then have been doing research for the website and even managed to mow the back lawn and weed the front garden too.
Off down to the football club both tomorrow and Thursday as there is some important stuff to do over the next couple of days. Boys football training starts again tomorrow and may have to drop DS3 hom as he obviously can't train for a few weeks.0 -
Very quick update today as I have to be up at 6am tomorrow...
Went to the football club this morning as it was League Cup fixtures release day and I had to interview the manager. Stayed there till 1pm then came home to pick the boys up from school. DS3 had his cast on his wrist changed today and this new one will be on for two weeks. While I was at the club, did three laps around the pitch.:D
Took DS2 to football training then DS3 and I went further down the field and did some training on our own for around an hour. Took them home then have been finishing off my review of the season for the website.
Spends today included £11.00 for petrol, £8.00 to the twins mum for school trips and £15.00 for the twins football training. This will be the last lot I have to pay until September.
League fixture release day tomorrow so will be up at 6am and the creative juices will have to be flowing early as I have to write several stories by 8am. Two lots of paper rounds tomorrow.
Betterware rang up today, my local area is free at the moment and the lady is visiting next Wednesday to maybe sign me up.0 -
Off to bed soon as it's been a looonnngggg day.
Got up at 6am and had showered and had brekkie by 7am as the fixtures were being downloaded somewhen between 7am and 8am. Ended up coming at 7.45am which gave me fifteen minutes to write a story and publish it ready for the embargoed release at 9am.
Rang the manager and the captain, interviewed them both and had their stories up by 10.30am, leaving me free to go out and deliver the papers.
Back in time for lunch then spent rest of the day sorting paperwork out and watching the football.
Tomorrow will be two more paper rounds then picking the boys up for the weekend...:j0
