Enjoyed today as it turned out different from the drudge I was expecting!:D
Woke up at 9am, very long lie-in for my standards, and wrote a story for the website over breakfast. Decided to use the "cheap golf" voucher I've had in my wallet for a while and rung the boys up to see if they fancied a game (which they did).
The three of us then proceeded to have the best rounds of golf we've ever had. Both twins broke 80 for the first time; basically means they are good enough to get a handicap even at the age of nine!:T
Dropped them home and have been dossing around since then. Have a lot of menial paperwork-type stuff to do tomorrow and ring up about the golf course job as well. Need to ring Virgin Media to find out why the direct debit was not set up and sort out my paperwork for the possible DRO. Also should stock up the shelves with a decent sized shop in the morning and do some laundry.
The only spends today was £2.07 on some biscuits, milk and a flapjack between the twins after golf, which cost a tenner instead of £14.50.0 -
Quite a busy day today as I received my wages and the HB today as well. Went to the launderette this morning and got two weeks washing done for £8.00 and on the way home, paid my rent to my landlord.
After lunch, did some paperwork then off to do the weekly shop at Asda. Managed to get pretty much all I need (though I'll still be missing something for sure) for a shade under £30 which was good. Stuck a tenner on the gas card too - doesn't half make a difference when the weather's warmer. I was spending £85-£90 a month in the winter but thankfully I only have the heating on for a short while these days.
Doing two paper rounds tomorrow then picking the boys up from their home (no school, it's half term of course) at 2pm. If the weather is good, we might do some training in the park.0 -
Another enjoyable day again today.
Woke up at 4.30am with mind chatter so went downstairs for a glass of milk and a biscuit. Once refreshed, back to bed and overslept till 9am...
Papers came quite early so delivered them so they were out the way early. Boys off school this week so picked them up at 2pm instead of three and we spent ninety minutes over the park football training. Phew, it was hot!
Made them tea, had two games of Countdown with the boys (they are so good at it), took the boys home and have been chilling ever since.
Tomorrow I'm staying here and not going to the club as very few staff are left there in the holidays. Will use the time to do some site housekeeping and also deliver two more paper rounds.0 -
It's been a really good day again today, busy but ultimately rewarding too.
Wrote a press release this morning then went out to deliver two paper rounds and back home by noon. Had lunch then popped out to pick up a desk from Gumtree.com. It was free because the top surface was damaged but it's identical to one I have already and £80 new so a real bargain.
Came back, built it as it was flat packed and them spent the next 2-3 hours organising the front room, the spare room, the understairs cupboard and the pantry - one of those days where you start one job then find you have to begin another to finish the first then another and so on....
Started doing some football site housekeeping tonight. I'm writing a 250 word guide to each and every team in the division and it all has to be researched to prevent any false information going on the site.
Off to bed now - picking the boys up at 2pm again tomorrow with two more paper rounds to finish in the morning.0 -
Very quick update as I want to be in bed by midnight....;)
Delivered two paper rounds today, collected the boys at 2pm, fed them then we went out for an hour's training at a local park.
So very hot again today and have lost more weight. Actually starting to feel different now although I've only lost 20% of my target and about 7.5% of my total weight.
Second no-spend day in a row today as well....:A:T0 -
Another hot day again today, are we ever going to have rain again?
Took the boys to golf today, they are really showing some seriously good talent at the game. DS3 broke 80 for the second week running while DS2 shot an 84 which was his second best round ever. Treated them to a small chocolate flapjack afterwards and enjoyed a yoghurt flapjack myself - total cost £17.80.
Dropped into Tesco's petrol station tonight to pick some bread, toilet rolls and squash (£3.30) and some petrol as well. In between, managed to get another 75 minutes training over the rec for the three of us.
Absolutely shattered now so off to bed shortly. Tomorrow, we might spend the morning around the park as rain is supposedly forecast for later on. There's also the pub quiz later on (we still have £22 winnings from last week left) and I'll drop the boys back at 5pm as normal.0 -
A day of doing nothing today. All of us were exhausted after the weekend's exertions so stayed in until I took them back to their mum's at 5pm tonight.
Mate rung up tonight to cry off from the pub quiz so I've even been in tonight as well. Made today the third NSD in the last four days....:T0 -
Been a day of getting things done rather than anything physically demanding, I'm pleased to say.
Walked down to the post office earlier to get four stamps and some milk (£2.85 total) and that was my total spends for the day. I spent the rest of the day doing housekeeping on the football club's website (housekeeping is basically getting the site ready for the new season while its quiet, i.e. no matches, no signings etc). Today I had to finish off the ground guides for the rest of the teams in the division. It takes about twenty minutes to write about 3-400 words on each one and I managed to get eleven done.:T
Tomorrow looks like being another admin day but I need to get a planning diary for work (80p in Wilko), go to the recycling facility with some plastic bottles, more housekeeping and also to ring up about the job at the golf course. I'm also in the process of finally sorting out my bank accounts. I have six with the Halfax but I only need three really so will hopefully finalise those tomorrow.0 -
Another quiet day today but got pretty much all of my paperwork up to date, went shopping and even managed to write a few stories for the website too.
Spent £15 in Asda this morning and that was it, didn't go out other than that.
Papers arrive tomorrow and the leaflets are all ready for them. As organised as I've been in months now!0 -
Good day until about 3pm when it all went wrong....:(
Delivered two rounds of papers this morning, wrote some more stuff for the website then went to pick the boys up from school. Their teacher came out, looking very glum-faced walking alongside DS3 with his arm in a sling. He's broken his wrist for the second time in eleven weeks, this time it's his left one...:(:(
Only spends today were £2.07 on some chocolate to cheer us up on the way back from the hospital and £3.70 on the car parking there!
What a crap end to the day!:(0
