it is the employers fault if they managed thyre books properly and stopped paying the lazy directors and managers extortionate bonuses we wouldnt have redundancies would we

and its not the employees fault if they book a holiday and then get made redundant
Try reading that post again. It has "I am a sad victim of everyone elses making" written all over it.

How do you know it's not a lazy workforce skiving, nicking stock, dropping sickies? Or something quite simple like no one buying the products and services due to downturn in business.

No it's not the employees fault they get made redundant, neither is it the employers. It's called life, live with it.

I totally agree what if you have booked a holiday and get made redundant. Why should you not get your money while you are away!

I think the people who are saying no would think differently if it was them they would be saying i think i should get my money!

I think for sure though the rule wont be changed anytime soon so im not debating it anymore! No point really.

im not a sad victim as you call it im quite happy thanks i dont claim benefits at all i have a little part time job for the time being untill something comes up

but i know from my experience that the person who owned/managed the company i worked for spent all his time playing golf instaed of concentraiting on developing the products/workforce in the end the contracts we had pulled out and he was stuffed

If by that you mean benefit, then it's not your money until you have demonstrated you are available and loong for work. That is what the benefit is paid for. If you choose not to be available or look, that is fine because it's a choice you have made, however in that case it does mean no entitlement to benefit.

We'd all like something for nothing. I'd like my employers to pay me for 2 extra weeks holiday but I don't harp on and expect they will or create a debate about why they should.
