Maybe but this is the jsa we are taking about, and he is going very soon, in a few weeks if i remember correctly. Take it from me, nothing usually changes within the jsa some rules are so draconian you wouldn't believe. i don't know why they couldn't have given him some idea as the rules stood at that time. I do know that if you shut your claim down for a couple of weeks and do a rapid reclaim you don't have to make a fresh claim. You do however have a note put on every insurance claim you may get them to sign that you have been signing on from the new date and not when you first claimed. This might have an effect on any insurance claims as it is now technically not a continous claim. The same might apply to the six month training rule, but i don't know for sure...
I'm sure that may be the case and with good reason - you claim JSA when you are available and looking for work. Simple principle, what is there to change apart from the name but it's the same thing.

Bit like working. You go to work, do a job and get paid an agreed amount. If you book a hol and then get made redundant that's hardly the fault of the employer or the system is it?

it is the employers fault if they managed thyre books properly and stopped paying the lazy directors and managers extortionate bonuses we wouldnt have redundancies would we

and its not the employees fault if they book a holiday and then get made redundant

They sign off while on hol so taxpayer doesn't pay.

Something else for you to ponder over, what if a retired person actually lives abroad and still gets taxpayers money  Imagine that! :rotfl:
