Hi all
Yes, I am here, just not doing so well this week....have DDs rotten cold and have spent hours nursing an unwell baby boy.
Am slowly working through my dailies, but probably won't catch up on my lists until later this week.
Shall be retiring to the sofa shortly...perhaps I'll get some knitting done?!
Hope everyone is well.

Sexym - at least you've made a start with union
Pigpen - think it's a good idea to give it a few more weeks and, yes, it is really annoying when other courses have less contact time (remember when I was doing degree as mature student - that used to drive me mad as I had 1hr 20min drive each way!)
Will do some sewing this afternoon methinks - although the weather is really too nice to stay inside.

Grrrr ... just lost my post!
I can't do the master bedroom as it's full of DS's carp whilst we're decorating. Instead i've done the kitchen AGAIN!!! I only did it yesterday but it's been trashed as DH did the big shop last night and left half of it EVERYWHERE! Oh yes, and I must be the only one who can unload the dishwasher because everyone else just piles plates on the worktop when it needs unloading!!! Grrrrrr!!!!
On a positive note; i've put the engine oil, the broken desk, a chair and lots of offcuts of wood back in DH's study as he was clearing his study last week but only took the junk as far as the kitchen. Well, it's back in his study now in a big pile which makes it hard to get his study. Childish? Who me????:Dxx0 -

Hugs, ishtar. Poor bubba.
Just went and got coil removed (TMI, I know) then got pregnancy multivitamins and the schiz woman in boots went into a lecture about how you got pregnant if you put your legs in the air after every...event! eeeeuuuwww right in the middle of the shop!
Am going online to review them.
Well done, sexy on contacting the union. They need to give you a caseworker. On the list of jobs today is a remortgage and a quote for floor and window renovation. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Result of calling the union (sorry for off topic post):
Had to call NUT back - they appologised but said that they were very busy at the moment. The lady on the phone was very nice, and has given me a number of the NQT advisor for my LEA, and has told me that it is possible for me to ask to be released from my contract and then do the third term somewhere else. Trouble is, I can't get hold of this new lady - maybe as it's half term, and I need to speak to her first. Lady at NUT doesn't think my treatment has been very fair.
SM - can they give you an email address for her as well as a phone number? Just a thought.
Now off to bring lots of loft stuff downstairs to sort through - its all pending out next week, either Christmas Fayre or Toy Service or charity shop. The house is getting lighter!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

And that's an understatement! I missed most of the thread last week, so I don't know what happened, but even before then things weren't right. Can you get this woman's e-mail address or leave messages on her answer phone? I hope you can get something sorted out before going back next week. Take care.0 -

Pigpen - just read your heartfelt post from last night - huge (((hugs))) - please speak to someone from uni as others suggested but don't forget to value your own judgement - only you can tell whether you can continue with your course - I'm not trying to put you off your studying, but I'm just concerned about you - it may be a platitude, but think of how you'd feel in a year if you carry on or if you don't and see which sits better but please don't try to just struggle on without some help - we all know how strong you are but everyone needs a hand from time to time, even super piggers - take care hun and hope you feel a bit better soon x
