Had a lovely invitation this evening. My little bro has season tickets for Arsenal for himself and his son. His son can't make a game in early December so lil bro has emailed to see if I would like to go on that season ticket. Well, I have a grin as wide as that of the Cheshire cat on my face. I've only been to Highbury to watch a game once. This will be a real treat!
Brilliant! I didn't realise you were a footie fan!
But - errrmmm - don't go to Highbury cos they don't play there anymore. Posh new(ish) stadium called The Emirates!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

I do like a good game of football on the quiet - and thankyou for the tip of the change of stadium - shows how long it's been! But looking at the map, it's almost next door to the old HighburyI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

soappie - I travelled back from London with a train load of Arsenal fans today - judging by the singing I guess they'd beaten Tottenham...;):D
I had a good time at the Languages Show, loads of freebies and leaflets/catalogues, and also got to two very inspirational talks, so will be sharing that with my colleagues.I came back earlier than intended as I'd had enough.
I managed to lose a crown though today - I hadn't even eaten anything hard or sticky. I don't like the dentist I've been to once since my regular one retired, so we're going to try another local one, and see if that's better. I think I can get away with a temp filling, as long as they can do it soon, and then sort it out properly. Hope it doesn't cost too much, just before a major shopping time.
I've just dropped DS1 into town - there are so many people out all dressed up. I spotted two young men dressed as the Ghostbusters - they'd done a terrific job on their costumes! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Washing up is done too. When the laptop battery is fully charged I think I might watch a DVD, have supper and give myself a pedicure.Dustykitten wrote: »go Jedward!
I hope you are joking!
Dusty, I hope your son gets better soon, that sounds quite worrying. hugs for you all xx
Hugs Rach, I think everywhere is busier today and I hope you feel more cheerful soon hun
Welcome Sazzy, I’m the same with my hotspots, they just get messed up again! Keep trying, like I do, and we will get there eventually. The link to the new thread is at the end of the thread each week, usually posted by Pigpen on a Sunday evening

Boddy, hope you sleep better
I've had a really nice evening, went out to a get together my friends were organizing - we were all crammed into their house, it was so funny! There was tons of food and I had nice chats with my mates and it was fun. They were all singing songs! I sang a few but came away at about 8 as I was getting tired. It was nice chatting with the little un's too"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

We did the pumpkins, it wasn't as hard scooping out as it's been before.
The big girls did their own designs, I'm really impressed with them. And the girls had lots of fun doing it, so it was worth doing.
We've only had a few Trick and Treaters tonight. In spite of having the pumpkins in the front window.
DH took DD3 out "trick and treating" as she calls it. One woman came right up to her glass front door, looked down, saw my little girl, and just turned round and walked away, closing her inside door behind her. Charming!!
Another woman opened the door, in floods of tears, and shut the door again. What's going on!!!
Anyway, finally, one guy opened his door, with big smiles and gave her a handful of chewy sweets. She was absolutely delighted! *phew*
Anyway, she's gone off to bed, pretty miserable, because of the fireworks. Ahh well.
Hope everyone's well this evening.

Good evening, all.
Well, if I'd tried to sabotage myself, I couldn't have done a better job.I tried to settle down to school work this morning, but realised that a lot of stuff I needed was still at work. Was supposed to go and collect it on Monday, but forgot that I'd left it.
I was trying to concentrate on writing a report for senior management, but just couldn't focus. The kids' bickering didn't help, so I lost my rag and abandoned it. I also felt really tired again in the afternoon. I spent the rest of the day with a quick shopping trip, getting DS2's Halloween outfit sorted, some laundry, cooking, and a short nap. I really haven't achieved much today and have a serious case of CBA tonight, but I've got to get a couple of my diet meals going, or the meat will be out of date, and I don't want to freeze it. The kitchen needs tidying, washing bringing in (bad weather forecast for tomorrow) etc. Maybe after the next cuppa.
Hope you all have an enjoyably spooky evening. DS1 is at a party (with sleepover) and DH out til late. Might have to have a small drink - thinking whiskey and dry. No ice cubes, but it'll do.0 -
I have no idea why that post repeated itself. Halloween eh?!! Gremlins must be out!
