fedup - you must've read my mind, I was thinking only this lunchtime when I was washing up that I should try doing some home made oils with herbs etc for Christmas prezzies this year. I wondered if Lakeland had nice bottles etc. I was thinking some oil with rosemary, peppercorns and maybe my home grown chillis! Perhaps I will go all out and also do some other things and make little hampers.
Hi rach
That is my plan for this year too!
Lakeland (sorry Tooch!) do have some lovely Spanish Green Bottles at £5.80 a pop. As I need quite a few I am using white wine and cider vinegar bottles that have been sterilised and labels removed. Will see how they look, have bought some luggage labels to attach to them with string too and pop in a basket.
I saved the bottles from all the chutney I made a month or so ago. Your chillis will make lovely chilli jam (river cottage preserves/nigella's Chr*s*m**) and also a lovely chilli oil!
Will have a go either later today or tomorrow and if you want the recipes just PM me as I have both booksfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

I'm watching Oklahoma and have taken some pics so can list a few bit on ebay now. Also I've tidied the sofa and put fresh throws on it so it looks nice and clean and tidy!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Thanks tooch! I found the code after being prompted by you and could order some bottles for flavoured vodka and squash and a pressie for my mum with free delivery and spending less than £50Ummed and ahhhed today but no way could I carry them and some things I had in my basket on the site I didn't like in real life which took the cost down to lose the free delivery.
Yipee!! Will be bottling and preserving and concocting away next week to cheer myself up on my last week off before I return to work and hopefully this will chase the BD awayfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hi:j
Just had a 15 minute rant and rave about a new veg peeler I'd bought at Mr A's as it wouldn't peel anything and it cost all of 38p (!). I was telling DH that I had a good mind to take it back. He looked at Lakeland site to get me a decent one and was about to go to our local branch when he looked at the peeler I was ranting about.
When he peeled off the sticky plastic they had put on to protect the blades, well of course it works perfectly............(hangs head in shame and is booking eye test asap) :rotfl:

The pair for my room I wanted dark red but that won't happen so I'll decide on the decor then dye the curtains!froddington wrote: »Seems to be a popular place - maybe we need a meet there sometime soon
Good idea
Went to occupational health yesterday afternoon and am feeling much better about work as a result. The doctor I saw was very nice, professional and helpful.
Then went to a leaving do after work, so didn't get home till late.
Went to the post office to pick up my parcels (water bottles & sports bras), then into town to pick up my bedcover from the dry cleaners and do a bit of shopping. I decided to be brave and look for a new suit... so... I now have:
Jacket, skirt, dress, top & trousers (Jaeger)... trousers are being shortened, so I need to pick them up next Saturday. The dress in plain black & the rest pinstripe, but it goes together very well and is nice lightweight wool.
Two jersey dresses (one purple, one grey) from phase 8
Black patent platform court shoes
Purple suede backpack
Large black leather handbag
Large purple leather wallet (with lots of compartments for dealing with all the different currencies)
Silver bead necklace
Plus some bits and pieces for christmas...
I have spent VAST amounts of money, but as the first bit of clothes shopping went well I thought I'd better keep going while I was on a roll! I'm now going to have a bit of a rest and do my feet/hands/nails, but tomorrow WILL be spent on a major wardrobe blitz!
Great to see toots is home. Catch up later...0 -
This morning I went on a shopping trip, but managed to get the freezer defrosted first, it needed doing desperately. Since I came home I've managed
