Off to report back on my list. Next job to clean out and set the fire.

    eta
    [STRIKE]
    wash children
    make pumpkin lantern
    make pumpkin soup
    [/STRIKE]
    swish and swipe downstairs
    hoover.

wilf i would go for it with the curtains, machine dye with the right amount of salt. If they are synthetic mixed with linen, though, the dye won't take so well.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Dusty that never occured to me, but then again we're SO messy I'd still have to clean up outside so may as well be in the warm doing it lmao

Cake in the oven, it smells gorgeous in here at the mo, I really should cook more as it smells so homely.

Kaz I've heard of it and I think littleys used some once.

All cleaned up and organised now, need to hoover but will do that in a min then I can relax for a bit, littley wants to watch Double Double Toil & Trouble so will do that.

i have some linen type curtains that are dark beige do you think i could dye them aubergine........

If they have any 'plastic' in them.. polyester is usually in there that won't dye.. natural linen will.

You need to check the label first.

I have some BRIGHT yellow pure cotton velvet curtains I am eventually going to dye. Actually.. brain in gear as I have 2 pairs I could dye one lot forest green and put it in the boys room..

The pair for my room I wanted dark red but that won't happen so I'll decide on the decor then dye the curtains!.

To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough.

  • I've finally caught up!! :D:D:D

I've been about 3 days behind all week! It's been manic for me for the past 2 weeks. I'm trying to get used to working 3/4 days a week. it's a little alarming for me, as I'm used to being at home all the time.

I'm so impressed with everyone's halloween efforts. We've done nothing here! :o

I'm waiting till DH is dressed and ready... (lazy morning) and then I'm going to send him out in search of sweets/goodies and pumpkins. ;)

I seem to remember pumpkin carving is hard work.. is that right??

I am, it's fair to say, a little hungover :o I've been drinking so little recently, that I'm a complete lightweight now. :p:D

    Hulloo everyone

Hope those of you who are having Hallowe'en parties tonight have a sppppooooookkkkyyyyy time! I have some sweeties in for the trick or treaters.

Not sure how much flying I'll be doing today - I was up very late waiting for my new foster son to come home. He's been here only 3 nights and for two of those he's stayed out all night without letting me know where he is. I've had to report him as a missing person as he is only 16 so have had the police round (probably curtain twitching by the neighbours too!). I think I'm in for a rocky ride with this one .....

Think I am going to do lots of cross stitch today whilst it's still light, to calm me down for when the prodigal son returns home. Might have a nap too. There's no way he can sneak in without me knowing because the dogs will bark when the front door opens :T

Happy flying ladies (get yer broomsticks out!)

Oh yes. You will need a strong grip and even stronger muscles! But the end result is lots of fun!

    Back

Car cleaned inside and out side, water wash bottle filled up as well.
Brown garden recycling bin is now full again, so that is another job off the list for this week.
Looked in the greenhouse and I have red chilli's growing!! I'll pick those tomorrow.

The kids at the end of the road, have a pole inthe garden with a pillow attached to it, and a net curtain hung over that, ready to spook people tonight.
They have also with the help of dad, made a very big string spiders web!!
