Returns dept confirm its a faulty unit, although notice they don't seem to have arranged a replacement, rather a refund ( without refunding postage either way)Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

managed to get mine working again, but not for long. uninstalled everythin, and reinstaleld again, but this time i did as the instructions said, and didnt install the windows drivers aswell. i cancelled the wizard that comes up when you first plug it in, and just installed the drivers off the CD. Everything was working fine for a few days, and now all of a sudden, I cant pick up any channels. As though I havent even got an arial in or something. Before I was picking up everything, even channel 4, more 4, itv, etc. Now nothing. So I dont think its a reception problem, I think the unit is just bust. The amount of hassle this thing has caused me0

I've just had a USB freeview stick for my birthday. It works fine outside (tried it with the laptop) with the tiny antenna provided. Not a thing indoors though. Bought one of those Wilko antennas for a fiver, but still no good (will go back). Will an amplified aerial do the trick?0

Can I use this stick to video capture from a VHS recorder? I want to copy my videotapes to DVD.
Or do I need the
Freecom DVB-T & Analogue TV USB stick (Hybrid) to do that.
