Bargain price, but if I cant get anywhere with it I'm gonna have to send it back.
Bizarre, I thought it was just mine! I set mine up on Saturday and it was a joy, even with the "pretend" aerial it picked up most stations.
Which aerial are you using as a matter of interest?
Today it has been awful. I wondered if it was a change in atmospheric conditions - ie - it rained!
I wouldn't have imagined that would make your computer freeze but, heh, what do I know.
I too would appreciate an explanation.
I actually bought the Wilkinson aerial and that didn't improve matters much, so that's going back.0 -
Sorry duplicated post!0

can only get 3 out of the 6 muxes when using the rooftop aerial , and nothing at all with the included mini aerial -

Could not get a single channel, even using external house aerial which works fine with a Freeview box.
Going back to Ebuyer !0 -

I'm using the supplied aerial, I actually think its pretty good. I doubt you could get anything much better that didnt have an amplifier. I'm not sure its so much the signal anymore thats causing my problem. Even with weather changes, its remained just as bad, and still crashes my computer quite quickly.
Does anyone know if its maybe my graphics card overheating or something? I could try a better one from my other computer if anyone thinks that could help. Obviously I'l try it anyway, unless someone can confirm my problem is something else and changing graphics cards will make absolutely no difference.0 -
tried on my desktop .. exactly the same, my problem is definately units inability to scan the channels correctly. ( your probelm sounds diffferent)
Seems like its pointless,( whether thats just mine ) so will have to return..... unfit for purpose
Edit.. done Return slip--- have said I will try a replacement !Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
I bought the wilko aerial for £5 and I can now pick up the ITV 1,2,3 and chanell 4, thanks OP for that.
I can now get 49 channels with the wilko aerial rather than the 38 with the freebie one.
How many should I be able to get or does anyone get more than 49?
Thanks0 -
there's a list on www.ukfree.tv-- although best way is to look for your transmitter on http://www.ukfree.tv/txlist.php and you see what channels are on what Mux / MHz ,Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0
