Right, I've made the cake mix, and I'm just waiting for the oven to reach temperature. So these are waiting to go in. I added a little green food colouring to make sure the witch gets her daily requirement of E-numbers. :D

Well, these look (and smell) quite nice. Second set of 6 are in the oven (only got 1 muffin tray!):

I think they might be too big for small witches. I might have to eat them myself.

As the first 6 came out well, I've sprinkled a few mini marshmallows and white chocolate chips on top of the second 6. Wonder how they'll look. :undecided

Right, I'm struggling a bit here. Was going to use some melted chocolate as glue for assembly, but I haven't got any chocolate so thought I'd use chocolate chips. The flipping things won't melt in a bowl over boiling water. Any suggestions, other than going out and buying chocolate?

  • Icing - make with a wee drop of milk, or jam melted a bit in the microwave.

I've tried microwaving them too, but they just get hot. Unmeltable chocolate - who'd have thought it eh?

jackie, do you just mean mix some icing sugar with milk? And jam - not sure if that would set enough, and I only have some damson jam that my mum made in about 2006. :o

I've made chocolate crispies, in trays this year as it's quicker that lots of individual ones. Just about to wrap them in clingfilm ready for the deluge later.
