Yes quite but they usually do a gathering exercise firstly then they can sort all the winding up figures up.
Did I read somewhere that a person called Whittaker was in charge of Loancheck I know Petermb was very withering about him (or I think it was Peter). He was getting a bit beyond himself as far as I am aware.
Anyway perhaps one of these others on here could answer that, or perhaps this man is now right out of the picture.
Probably opened up another company, answers on a postcard please if anybody could think of an appropriate name.!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Thank you. Am awaiting reply from Watsons then if I am not satisfied with their reply will contact above plus Law Society plus find out MOJ about claims companies. Am bit concerned that Black Knight are not registered at MOJ. Am still checking though.:mad:0

Tee Hee Check this out too.
John Whittaker from Loancheck Foundation has been awarded Highly Commended status at the IAB’s Business Enterprise Awards. The awards have been launched in association with IAB Qualifications for Business, Lloyds TSB, Mamut Software, IPP, FA Simms & Partners Plc, IBMG Media and Companies House.
'It is a great honour to be awarded highly commended status for IAB's social entrepreneur of the year, the LoanCheck foundation is seeing a record number of people using our services and it is a great feeling to have given the support and confidence to help innocent vulnerable people take on big lending institutions - it is a greater feeling when we have stopped people’s homes being repossessed'
and this quote
John Whittaker, chief executive of LoanCheck Foundation, said the firm had experienced an enormous increase in consumers seeking assistance after becoming discouraged by their lender's attitude to complaints.
The news came as Walter Merricks, chief ombudsman of the Financial Ombudsman Service, said an increasing number of financial services firms were handling complaints with a "weary cynicism".
Mr Whittaker said the company could represent consumer's complaints to their conclusion for a fee of £199.
He said: "We too are seeing a growing number of cases where customers who have complained to a financial business and experienced treatment that is nothing short of appalling.
"We have taken rapid action and developed a computer-based system that allows us to fast track all legitimate consumer enquiries and force the lenders into compliance.
"In the past many lenders have endeavoured to simply dispose of complaints at minimum cost and maximum delaying tactics - and with minimal attention to the individual facts and circumstances."
Emma Parker, spokesman for the Fos, said: "Certainly if someone wants to use a company to represent them that is their choice.
"We have found no difference between the outcomes of those who have gone through a claims management company and those which have gone through the process themselves.
"I think the key message is if people are unhappy with the way a firm is responding to their complaint they can always bring it to the ombudsman at no cost to them."
Interesting.
Guess what still waiting for WATSONS to ring back.:(:mad:0 -
It says in that cutting
"We have taken rapid action and developed a computer-based system that allows us to fast track all legitimate consumer enquiries and force the lenders into compliance.
If this is not misleading then what is???
Have there been any winners with Loancheck at all?0 -

How can Watson give his files to a non-lawyer?0 -
I said to them can you confirm that Black Knight Asssociates are taking on some of these cases they said yes they are. Are you suggesting they are not being entirely truthful on this Thomas.
Perhaps Loancheck administrators are passing the files on.:mad:0 -

If it was not so tragic it would be funny all the sales talk. I am just so devastated for those who because of this have either lost their houses or are in the process of losing their houses. I have had messages from people who are in desperate needs, it is so sad.:mad:0 -

I think that some people (not all cause lots were actually "won't payers rather than can't payers and just greedy!!) need to make proper complaints about being misrepresented in all of this and the whole thing needs investigating. IF clients don't get what they were promised and they are left with huge bills then I am sure that over time that can be sorted BUT some will actually be affected by the stress of all this too which you cannot put a price on. A company like Loancheck was not the answer to people having debt troubles. Also what has happened to all their data that was passed to them? Imagine if all that went astray.0 -

Perhaps
Why not call Black Knight and ask them0 -
OK Black Knight are passing on cases from Loancheck onto their own panel of Solicitors. Mine has not been passed over. None from this Solicitor has yet..
At the moment they are only dealing with those Loancheck clients who have not been assigned to a Solicitor.:mad:0
