i don't know if this will shine any light but my solicitor told me that he had to take out a loan from barclays bank to pay loancheck for all the audit fees, so loancheck obviously had all their money, they must have raked it in!!!!!!!!!!!!

when peter first started to help me with this process he tried to do it firstly with his company protected investments, then he said it would be better if we did it through his new company feather finance and then finally he said he was still having teething problems with his new company so should do it through loancheck, i should have smelt a rat then!!!!!! but like an idiot continued firmly believing he was being genuine, he probably worked for loanceheck also so would have been paid something or was he on a commission based fee????

i'm intrigued as to why he has not come on here to defend his actions or is it that he knows its all so wrong so can't defend them.

    Raking it in?

    Look at http://www.loancheck.eu/pdfs/BP%202e%20Summary.pdf

    The numbers are enormous

Yes I remember something about Barclays Financing this which is why people could not take Barclays or First Plus through Loancheck. I know they were trying to find a different way of funding this outside of Barclays.

Just had another thought here. Loancheck was actually a firm that made out it was against the lenders/finance companies for ripping people off etc BUT in the end they have actually helped them TBH.
Some people cannot take their cases to FOS or the courts now (out of time) and also their data is stuck in this mess so it would be tricky getting it back.

Makes you wonder? Just how much they have actually "saved these companies" from claims.
  • Loancheck cases are funded through black knight arnt they though? as black knight are a funding company and advertise this on their site, my question is why do black knight continue to fund these cases that will clearly never go anywhere judging by the complaints on here, does this not jus make loancheck and black knight one in the same?

Also, if ZAR whatever it was ownded the IPR then how has this been replicated by black knight to licence back to organisation or is it completly different software? maybe someone can shed some light on this

Severn Administration is in Administration - it changed itsSalop Management Ltd on 24th June 2009, and then went into Administration on 7th August 2009 - this information is on Companies House website.
Thomas123, why do companies change their names just before going into administration? Is it that when they go in the Gazette and papers if you have a claim against them, they hope you will not recognise them and it won't stare you in the face?

If Black Knight or anyone else is funding Loancheck cases I doubt that they will continue to do so given the complaints on here.

I also doubt if any insurer will get involved

Thomas what do you think people should do.

    a) if their cases are with loancheck and have not been assigned a solicitor
    b) if they have been assigned a solicitor
    c) if Black Knight try to get them to sign a new agreement with a different Solicitor.

Should they wait it out or start complaining to MOJ/Law Society/Press/Watchdog etc etc
    Thank you

I think the best thing to do if the cases are still with Loancheck is get a solicitors opinion on whether they are worth progressing.

If they have been assigned to a solicitor and you have entered into a no win no fee arrangement - and the solicitor is progressing the case - get an update from your solicitor and ask them what are your chances of success and how long will it all take.

If Black Knight try to get them to sign a new agreement with another solicitor, again, get a written assessment from that solicitor detailing what the charges will be, how long will it take, and what are your chance of success.

It is always better getting a solicitors opinion as early as possible.
