I think the best thing to do if the cases are still with Loancheck is get a solicitors opinion on whether they are worth progressing.

If they have been assigned to a solicitor and you have entered into a no win no fee arrangement - and the solicitor is progressing the case - get an update from your solicitor and ask them what are your chances of success and how long will it all take.

If Black Knight try to get them to sign a new agreement with another solicitor, again, get a written assessment from that solicitor detailing what the charges will be, how long will it take, and what are your chance of success.

It is always better getting a solicitors opinion as early as possible.
But from what people on here are saying, they are asking for an update from the solicitors and the solicitors are not updating and failing to return phone calls etc. Are they best sending recorded delivery letters perhaps so they have proof in case they have to make a case against them or anyone else in the future?

If the solicitor fails to respond within 7 days they should complain to the Law Society and ask for their files back.

If they do not get any response the Law Society will intervene

Their is a long thread on this forum about wolstenholmes solicitors that details how things are dealt with

I would want my files back anyway. I cannot understand people waiting TBH but then again, if they are threat of large fees then it must be hell.

Here is what happened to the above solictors

    http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/law/article6973000.ece

The thing with clients involved in the loancheck saga is that they have not actually "lost" anything financially, most probably have lost their option to take the complaint elsewhere BUT ultimately if they are not charged any fees then they will have lost nothing. I know they have suffered stress through all of this and perhaps they could complain to the administrators about it and see what they have to say about what to do.

The people I feel for are the investors into this company. How will they get money back? The whole thing stinks TBH.

Will any of the cases be completed?

I am just reading the thread and feel horrrified as I am beginning to wonder if Peter is conning people? Has loancheck ever won a single case or Watsons for that matter? Is it just a scam? My relatives' case is back with Black Knight but I am now cynical about whether anyone even intended to work on it.:(

I am sorry but I have no influence on any of the events taking place within Loancheck, Black Knight or the solicitors involved.

I no longer have communication with those I previously worked with. I was merely a hired hand and we, that is my staff included, were cut loose when it suited, after many months ( years in some cases) of hard work.

Yes, I am still bitter about it but then I am not sorry to be out of it since the whole thing imploded after the parting of the ways.

I will do what I can where I can but I have no influence whatsoever. I too have cases in this system that have gone nowhere.
I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

However, I have since seen the light.

I think as you stated earlier Marshallka people were offered a quick solution which wouuld have taken 6 to 9 months to sort out, when the FOS were taking 12 plus months. These people were vulnerable and quite desperate at times. Sometimes they were told they would only be claiming back the PPI element and not the whole loan.

I just wonder how on earth people are going to get their details back, copies of their paperwork etc. I know on paper there are ways to do this but the reality I think is going to be different.

That is simply remedied. SARN the people who have your documents whether it be a solicitor or Black Knight or whoever.

Peter I think that people are thinking that you made loads of money out of those that went through you. Also because you have not been on here people are feeling let down.

Could you explain how the whole thing was financed and how it worked, think there has been some confusion (reading through previous posts) between these companies that ask for money up front and the way loancheck was working.
