Very boring compared to some peoples' posts, but at my first house vendors left radiator grille for a Mini, an onion shaped pot with the word "onion" on it, plus a pair of the wife's shoes.
Feel guilty that when my father sold his house we failed to remove from the loft 2 non working mantelpiece clocks, an Acme wringer (ask your grandmother!) and a rusty metal stand for an even older wringer (which appeared to be larger than the loft hatch, so how it got there in first place?). Plus of course left over rolls of wallpaper, carpet remnants etc.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
I recently moved into my flat on Friday, and nothing was taken but they did leave behind a TV - an old once which they had punched out all the buttons.0

A friend bought a house a good few years ago and when it came to moving in she discovered the previous occupants had taken the patio!0

oh and another thing I remember. The house I sold had a pond with koi carp and other fish. I had a call from my EA to say when was I going back to pick them up?
It had never been agreed that I would take them, in fact the pond or its contents was never mentioned at all. So they they said would I give my permission for the RSPCA or similar to remove them. I told them that I had sold the house to them that day and the decision was theirs not mine.
some folk are plain weird.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -

I'm with your buyers on this one. The fish are not fixtures and fittings and it's fair for the buyers to assume they are going with you unless you say not. If you had a rabbit or a dog you'd expect to take it with you surely?0 -

I would disagree and would expect the fish to be staying unless told otherwise.
I've seen stories where buyers have sued because the vendor remove the fish - full grown ones are worth hundreds each.0
