DH and I are buying a house and received the fixtures and fittings list and was a little suprised that they are taking the curtain rail........on talking to others, it seems this is perfectly normal..........what is your weirdest thing you didn't expect your house not to come with ?

When my mum and dad moved into this house the sellers had taken all of the lightbulbs!

There's loads, skirting boards, light bulbs, one lady vendor of ours took her stained glass window from beside the door. I'm an EA, if the buyer doesn't want to take action then I'm not getting involved! It wasn't mentioned specifically in fixtures and fittings (I'm assuming you're talking about the window!) so I don't know if she would have had any comeback. After reading previous posts perhaps my contribution doesn't deserve a listing.

There are some seriously odd people, some of the worst stubborness comes out when the fixtures and fittings forms get sent out! Also when vendors are trying to negotiate a price for fixtures and fittings it is inevitably ridiculously high because they think all their stuff is gorgeous, even when it's a load of old tat.
