Is O2 broadband any good?

So that's not slagging off O2? I think not. What you failed to mention is that all the 'stories of misery' on the O2 forums relate to Access.
You chose to move house to a non LLU area, and chose to move over from LLU to Access. When you originally signed up for 02 LLU, were you under the impression that all exchanges were unbundled for O2?
I'm not glossing over anything, if you bothered to read you would see that all my posts deter people from signing up for Access, but recommend them to sign up for O2 if they can get it LLU.
But for the record, my position is:
O2 Access is terrible.
O2 LLU is great.
Switch off the nerd rage dude, seriously.0 -
I called the call centre because I'm having problems with the connection, and after waiting for 15min I spoke to a helpful Scottish bloke.
It's improved the service but it's still disconnecting, and I must say that this is the first time I'm having so many problems, and the service is much slower than expected (I had Sky and Telewest/Virgin before them, and everything has always worked very smoothly - but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for a bit longer...)0 -
I'm misserable on O2 LLU. My speed keeps dropping to under half a megabyte. Their LLU hardware in the lcoal exchanged is over subscribed, and they refuse to give me an update of when they will upgrade it, if ever. They tell me they have a 100MBit piece of equipment serving most of their customers in this city... You will get an excellent sync speed on O2, but because contention will be high, you will never see the through put from it.
Customer service will partronise you if you have any problems, and most probably talk to you about random things instead of broadband, until you get so bored you can't hang on the phone trying any more...
Call centre is UK and 24 hour, but you will be waiting between 20 minutes to an hour to get through anyway.
Very cheap, but could not recomend for reilability.
Please see my post....
