I've been using O2 for the past 12 months, can't fault it. Very easy to get setup and very quick download speeds0

It took me around 10 minutes to set up & connection wirelessly was flawless,Last night my speed dropped to around 1Mbps which was still ok & my connection is still bedding in.During the day my speeds on ADSL2 are around the 9Mbps point.
Only problem was getting rid of AOhelL!

very good overall service, excellent customer service , free phone number which is answered very quickly , and i like the way you are kept up to date by text even just to say how much your bill is and when it will be taken out by direct debit.0

O2 broadband is the worst internet provider I have ever had. I feel like I have stepped back about ten years at least. Check the O2 broadband forum on the O2 site for other stories of misery and steer well clear.0

You are presumably talking about O2 Access, not O2 LLU service?-two totally different things. No free lunch, and no free laptop

On the original subject, i migrated to o2 from bethere as i became an o2 mobile customer and i only live in an area with no virgin cable and max speed is 506mbps. I have noticed the speed has dropped by maybe 1mb in the last few months but i am not sure if this is due to over subscription of o2 customers on my exchange. Now on speedtest my avergae download speed test is around 4.5mb wheras on bethere it would be nearer 6.5mb
HTH
Never had to call their customer service for a broadband issue so cant comment but mobile queries to the same UK call centre always dealt with first time and spot on.

I signed up to o2 8mg bb 2 weeks ago, had conflicting reports of connection time (24 hrs to 2 weeks), but things came through smoothly. Got the wireless box but we've stuck with our Netgear one with all their settings.
Only trouble we had was caused by BT, they had to change our line over but messed it up leaving us without any form of broadband for over a week. O2 couldnt help us, according to them we were live on our original connection date! In total rang helplines 3 times with only the last guy knowing what was going on. Luckily it was with o2 as if I was still with my old isp (Fast4.net), it would have cost around £20-£40 so
there. On hold for an average of 20 minutes each time.
Service is alright, they saw we could recieve 11mbps, but never could, we recieved 5-6mbps on our old isp and we're still around there. Now though we dont have to restart our connection 4 times a day!
Ive been online now for 3 days, and have found connection to slow dramatically (the downloading rate of a small 18mb program changed from 300kbps to 16kbps), but easily liveable with (hopefully!).
I am an o2 user so I qualified for the £7.34pm tariff, but as I sorted out my phone contract with them and in same conversation started o2 home broadband - I got the first year free, not just the first 3 months! (I suggest you try this if you are going to change to them :money:).
Financially for me - best decision. In relation to my old isp I have saved £203.88, probably around £100 in calls to their helpline and lots of downtime. Thank you 02!0
