For anyone having trouble signing up to the SP Online Energy Saver 9 through Quidco all you have to do is go through the normal Quidco procedure, fill out your details to get a quote, then on the 'Your Best Deals' page which lists the available tariffs (except Energy Saver 9) paste this link:

    http://www.theenergypeople.com/applyToTariff.do?tariffId=234030

Then you should be able to sign up to the Energy Saver 9 :j !
Is that actually likely to validate and pay out correctly? I wouldn't want to try this and end up having to pay the 50 quid to leave before 2011 without getting any cashback.

Npower are offering £130 at the moment, I've got my eon cashback but the move isn't even complete yet, I dont want to move until it is or it might be classed as fraud.

    Hi andrew

I wouldn't say moving again before your current switch completes is fraud. However, I would be a little careful here as a premature move could cause an accounting problem with either us, your next supplier or both.

A switch of supplier generally takes between 4 to 6 weeks to complete. This is mainly because, as well as the cooling off and objection periods, time is needed to tranfer info between the two companies.

The transfer is done electronically and involves various external agencies like meter operators and meter readers. Info like meter readings need to be accepted and verified by all parties to ensure a switch completes smoothly.

In my experience, interrupting this process often leads to accounts becoming stuck and bills delayed.

I'm not saying don't switch andrew as you need to make sure you take full advantage of the various offers/tariffs available. However, I would personally be wary of moving before your current switch completes as this could throw a spanner in the works.

Thanks Malc, I'll wait until I'm fully moved over. Cheers. Out of interest, are EON etc aware of these offers and do they mind people moving constantly to take advantage of cashback?

    No problem andrew.

Yes, we are aware of the various cashback offers and have no objection to customers switching so long as there is no long term debt on their accounts.

My previous comments were cautionary only as I know what can happen sometimes.

just done npower prepayment on single switch (dont want to switch gas in the winter as its so much cheaper with ebico)

    £60 single switch, 120 duel

You did well being as Npower T+C state that none of its online accounts are available to those with a prepayment meter. :)

    http://www.npower.com/web/At_home/electricity_and_gas/terms_and_conditions/index.htm#gosave

Special Terms and Conditions – npower Online Tariffs

"Our Online Tariffs are not available to Premises fitted with a prepayment meter. If it is, or becomes, a requirement for supply that you take supply through a prepayment meter on our prepayment terms, or you already have a prepayment meter, you will not be eligible for your relevant Online Tariff and you will revert to our standard prevailing tariff for prepayment customers for your area on our Standard Terms alone"

I applied to switch :o  to SP on Sunday via Fatcheese as I find its Cashback Guarantee gives reassurance against the unexpected rejection

5.00 annual fee is easily recouped with vast no spend offers on its site most notably Time Magazine 6.75 Cashback, xtra 2% if register for its lifetime loyalty scheme before doing any Cashback deals.

I applied for online energy NSC ( without a number) as it has no exit penalties and is a very competitive tariff in South West region, tracked in next day:j

    21 Feb Scottish Power £1.00 Pending £120.50 ~ Jun

Award date is just an estimate, cash is available as soon as FC receive the funds whether that be 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years. :rotfl:
