If it is white cotton, I simply wash mine on a 60 degree wash every other time I clean it (no fake tan here) with some biotex in the machine with the soap powder, and leave it hanging outside in the sun all day to bleach it. Napisan is also good for bringing it up nice and bright. This might be good for yours, you could soak it in that in the bath for a while before washing.

Napisan added to the detergent then wash it on a good, hot programme.

    Hi,
I also have a question about white laundry, hope you don't mind OP?

I have several basic Tshirts that I wear under jumpers etc.. They are in perfect condition despite being 2-3 yrs old, apart from one niggle - they have stains under the arms! I cannot wash them off... I don't sweat much (I use Nivea roll on) so I have no idea where did the stains came from-I mean, obviously me, but I don't sweat heavily or anything.. so it must be build up over time.

Any ideas how to get rid off them?

    Hi littlemissscruffy,

As others have suggested I would wash at a high temp (at least 60 if not 90 degrees) as they're 100% cotton and try to dry in bright sunshine.

This thread has more ideas that may help:

It's deodorant/antiperspirant. I removed similar staining from a work-blouse by giving it a scrub with that Vanish stain-stick and a nail-brush before popping it in the washing-machine. It came up like new

Don't mess about with things in the bath, I really don't think it's necessary, especially if you have a pre-wash programme on your washing-machine. Life's too short to be soaking stuff in the bath.

Hi, I wash white on 60C already. And it has been in the sun this weekend.

They are not white marks at all. They are sweat marks on white top.

Yep, the deodorant/antiperspirant marks I removed were yellow. I use an industrial-strength antiperspirant so I know they weren't sweat-marks. I suspect my antiperspirant wasn't completely dry when I put the garment on and then washing it in the normal way didn't dissolve it properly. Try the Vanish stain-stick, it removes all kinds of stubborn stains and marks, even tomato and Ribena
