    Hi

Hope this is the right place to post. The kids white school polo tops are looking very grey, as I suppose they always do at this time of year. How does everyone else get them to look white again???
  • Steradent tablets or similar in a soaking solution, pre-wash?
  • Add some soda crystals to your laundry detergent and wash.
    Or soak in biotex

I don't, they wear them grey and I dye them at the end of the school year so they are nice bright yellow for the next year.

Or I buy the tesco value ones so they are pretty much disposable which is fine for the 2 small pinks as they are always covered in paint and pen and mud and other such filth

Pre-soak in Biotex or add Napisan to the main wash

You can buy something called 'Oxy' from Poundland (£1!!), of which I use a teaspoon in my weekly whites wash; mine always stay white.

    Hi bonniecat,

I second the use of soda crystals. This thread has lots more ideas:

    OS way to brighter whites?

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

I have gone back to Persil. If that doesn't get/keep them white then nothing will. Probably need a really hot wash too.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.
  • I'm hoping you lovely people could help me :o

What is the best OS way of getting my white bedding (it 100% cotton) back sparkling white again. At the moment its all going abit gray, I should also add that I'm abit of a fake tan addict so on my side its abit yellowie aswell!!

Thanks so much in advance for any helpful suggestions! :jxxxxxx
