  • well after a long conversation with the vistaprint supervisor 'on duty' i first of all made a note of his name, and ended up with a guarantee that ALL 3 debits will be credited to my a/c by next friday 3rd August 2007 - so i'll just lose the interest i've paid on these amounts as im not posting my bank statement to them, if this isn't done i'll take further action.

If now have yet another email confirming my subscription has been cancelled which means nothing to me - also when i asked what financial institution(s) vistaprint are members of or adhere to their regulations of business practice he said 'i dont know' these should be up on the wall and the supervisor is an ambassador for the company so i guess i may as well be talking to animals in a zoo.

The bottom line is i havn't signed any direct debit forms for vistaprint or vprewards to debit my account at any time so legally im saying this is theft and i could get the police involved but im guessing they would be too busy.
  • Don't be put off ordering freebies from Vistaprint they are genuine and their products are top quality. I have been a customer for about three years and have had no problems. The VP rewards is a separate offer (also offered after ordering at lastminute.com) and you do not have to say yes to it (though it may look like you do in order to complete your transaction).

You must read the small print and terms and conditions before agreeing to anything as it does mention about the payments that will follow.
  • No offence to anyone, I wrote my message rather hastily and didn't realise it was such a major problem as so many people are being caught. Isn't there anything that can be done about this? Why can the company keep operating like this?
  • because they are a massive corporation and keep making promises to consumers and then letting them down IMO they are delaying any payments but inevitably will lose a huge % of their customers over this.

If they don't pay me by next friday i'll ask ML to get involved ;)

I have just been caught out by this scam too, I cancelled my credit card straight away and managed to log into the vprewards site to cancel membership. I hope this is enough!
  • £29.85 paid back in full this morning :) i just lose a few pence on interest but job done - still i'm never going to use vistaprint for anything anymore - i'd rather pay more for biz cards elsewhere.
  • I have still not had my money back from them after 3 weeks - I have called them twice and both times they told me that it would be in my account within 48hrs - this has not happened at all. I am really frustrated as they owe me 11 months of £9.95. I had not noticed it as it was coming out at irregular intervals - I was checking all my usual direct debits only. I have tried the very very nice approach both times - what can I do now??
  • I couldnt agree more Im totally with you on that.

What about calling them up and being firm but nice
  • I also ordered some business cards and then had 2 payments of £9.95 taken from my account. I have emailed and phoned them 3 times and each time I was assured the money would be refunded and all I got was emails confirming that my account was cancelled...no refund. First they said the refund would take 48 hours and now they say 10 days.
I did not sign up to anything and of this I am certain even though they say I did...something about the 3rd page of their order acknowledgement.
I have contacted Trading Standards and my bank without success so I am now cancelling my card.
THIS IS A SCAM and don't be fooled into thinking you must have accidentally signed up. I would like to know how they can be stopped. As far as I am concerned they have taken money from my account fraudulently.
  • I rang the VPRewards number 0845 6722002 and spoke to a lady called Hilary and after much complaining and telling her that they had taken the money fraudulently she agreed to the refund. finally got my refund in the bank today of both payments. Good luck guys it can be done!!
