Horrible, isn't it - blowing a hooley here and has been raining for a good deal of the day too. Ugh. No damage here either and hoping it stays that way.

I wish you luck with your tidying encouragement, I think I might finally have persuaded OH that dirty clothes go in the laundry bin, not on the floor, but I'm not coutning my chickens quite yet...!

Everyone is full of coughs and colds here so we haven't done anything for a few days. Easy no spend days though! Still knocking a bit off the CC each day.

I should get paid this week, so have cleared out my account to pay off one of the club books. I'll leave the CC to finish off with the 100 days challenge and then I will give myself a couple weeks off over Christmas.

Another no spend day today as everyone is too poorly to go out still. Knocked a bit more of the cc and finally got round to sorting out some paperwork and shredding that's been hanging around for months. Watched plenty of old movies on TV and have been entertained by the kittens as usual - nothing very exciting.

Today I have cleared all my credit card debt! This is the first time in 15 years probably that I've been credit card free.:j

I'm now aiming to clear the club book before Christmas, then after I can start on some family debts that need to be dealt with (and some emergency savings might be nice!). The loan can plod along for now as some of the other debt has pretty nasty rates.

I'm embaressed to say it hasn't been that difficult to clear the cards, just a bit of extra thought and discipline (and staying in lunchtimes). I have been so dumb with money in the past and then let myself lie awake all night, worrying about it. All I needed to do was to 'just get on with it'.

Spending the evening in with the family watching Children In Need. DH is cooking party nibbles for us and I've a sneaky glass of white on the go. Have bought the charity CD's for some of the niece and nephew's christmas pressies and will empty out a penny jar that we have later, ready to donate. Want to get DS to understand how to do the charity bit. Nice cosy evening.:beer:

Looked after me today. Got myself a proper haircut (in a real hair dressers!) and even went for the wash and blow dry. Was bliss, the hairdressers is only a local one that deals with most of the blue rinses in the vacinity but they play radio 2 in quietly in the background, no need for chat if you don't want it and they can do a really decent cut. I feel nice and pampered after a rough week.
