Very hectic day at Pen Towers with work, school, appointments and getting some plumbing fixed - but luckily not too expensive.

    Spends:

    Wine - for me £3.35
    Cider - for DH £3.60
    Plumbing £20

Still, need to go steady now as gradually running out of spending money and I don't get paid again until end of next week. Should be ok, cupboards and freezer are full to bursting and all bills are paid up to date.

Hopefully a much quieter day tomorrow, just work and school to contend with.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Another mega hectic day at work - one of those where I sometimes wonder if going part time was a good idea. So a tired and grumpy Pen tonight which unfortunately clashes with a hyper and bored DS! Never mind eh.

No spends today, which was brill (but only because I didn't have time to spend any money!).

Just settling down to a nice bottle of wine and waiting for somebody's bedtime for a bit of peace and quite.

Was meant to be a quiet day today in pen towers, but no such luck! Did a big shop and it was sooo expensive I don't want to repeat it here, even though it was only cat food and essentials (and wine!)

But somebody we know did a random act of kindness today and it really made me smile. Was something quite simple, somebody in our road was getting some work done and because they still had some cement mixed up they just mended our wall for us, just like that. Really cheered me up and made me think how easy it is do to something simple but meaningful for somebody else.

Apart from that, no other spends (cos I'm too skint after the shop) - cleaned the car, cleaned the bathroom, washed towels and bedding then entertained our lonely BIL and his children for hours then finally got to have a quiet glass of white.

Roll onto to an early start for DS rugby in the morning.

Have a good weekend, Pen

How long since I last posted - I'm not very good at this diary lark!

Well, its been a very busy month so far and a fairly expensive one. Had 2 birthdays, mothers day and wedding anniversary to deal with and I'm still trying to put a few pennies back for the holiday.

My masterplan for the family debt hasn't worked so back to slogging away at it. At least I know what the situation is and can budget around it, its just a shame I can't even see the light at the end of the tunnel. DH's work is non existent, which has had its benefits in free childcare over half term etc but we could really do with the money. Hopefully something will come up soon.

Good news is my main income job has become officially permenant now, rather than a rolling temporary contract so I don't have to panic every 6 months.

Other than that I'm off to the hair dressers in a minute, only a cheap cut but it will give me an hour of me time.

Also looking forward to watching Sports Relief tonight - Phil Glenister is doing one of the sketches so should be good.
