Do YOU have multiple bank accounts?
Comments
-
1 x Natwest (had it for 9 years, and still necessary to qualify for Reg Saver)
3 x Halifax (one is my main account, but collecting £5s on all three)
3 x Lloyds (for the 4% interest)
1 x Nationwide (used to love the Flex Account for the interest, but now only keeping it for the worldwide cash withdrawals)
So... 8 altogether.0 -
Two current accounts with the same bank - one has my refunded work expenses going in and the credit card I use for work expenses going out; the other has everything else. This way I don't spend my expenses before the credit card is paid

For me:
Halifax Easycash account - had the account for many years now, first opened when I was 13 or so.
Halifax Current Account - I opened it to get a Visa Debit card. It's now got my overdraft in it that I can't pay off, so my wages go into it and I transfer what I need to Easycash.
Halifax High Interest Current Account (obviously changing soon) - opened to act as the house account - everyone's money gets transferred in and the rent and bills come out of it.
HSBC Graudare Account - Opened as a student account for the interest free overdraft - just trying to pay it off now.0 -
i have 2 accounts (lloyds and natwest)
i have one account that my salary goes into and all my bills/direct debits/standing orders
then the remainder is swept into my other account and that is used for living out of etc
i find it is easier that way as i leave the amount in the 1st account to cover all the outgoings so it doesnt ever go overdrawn and then i know what i have left over as thats in the 2nd account
I do this, but the other way round
I have my main Lloyds account that my wages get paid into every Friday, £200 is transfered out straight away by SO into my Alliance & Leicester account, which all my bills/DD/SOs come out of.
This way I know whatever money I have in my Lloyds account is mine to freely spend, without accidently spending too much & not being able to cover the bills.
I also have 2 savings accounts & an ISA

Ryanair is swapping the only type of card that can be used to avoid a charge when booking a flight with the airline.
Users of the Mastercard Prepaid card will not be charged the £5 per person administration charge levied on other card users from 1 December.0 -

Yes...I know. But the fees for the pre-paid card put me off at the moment - cannot bring myself to pay money to get my own money
