Are you Joey from friends? (How YOU doing?)

Sorry. Your title just made me think of him. :D

I have mulitple accounts. Mostly all opened because of promo rates or incentives. Some are as good as unused, others I keep ticking over simply to enable me to withdraw large sums should I need to, from the ATM's.

With the advent of FP I can transfer to various current accounts immediately and withdraw much more than the usual £300 - £500 daily ATM limit that I would be stuck to if I only had one account.

I just have 2 accounts with 1 bank.

I would feel untidy by having more than 1 bank.

1 for savings only, 1 for paying stuff and 'messing around' with.

I have 2 current accounts (both with the same bank). One where my wages go and another one which my DDs etc come out of. I transfer enough money to cover my DDs on payday and then what's left in the first account is mine to spend.

i have 2 accounts (lloyds and natwest)

i have one account that my salary goes into and all my bills/direct debits/standing orders

then the remainder is swept into my other account and that is used for living out of etc

i find it is easier that way as i leave the amount in the 1st account to cover all the outgoings so it doesnt ever go overdrawn and then i know what i have left over as thats in the 2nd account

Around 9 current accounts, mainly for the reasons given by other posters, including 2 x Nationwide Flex (1 x Debit Card; 1 x Cash Card) for best value foreign ATM withdrawals/purchases.

I have various savings accounts (2 ISAs, 2 regular savers, 3 instant access savers) taken out due to interest rates available at the time. I have 2 current accounts, one because it is mandatory due to my job, and the other which I needed to open to get internet banking access to my barclays accounts.

It is starting to get a bit messy so will be looking to consolidate my accounts in a year or two.
