  • Roshydoshy - I'm glad you didn't take offence.

The best two weight loss techniques for me have been slimming world, losing 3 stone in a year or Paul McKenna.

Paul McKenna I Can Make You Slim really works for me, and it seems suitable for those with just a bit to lose too, whereas Slimming World is I think better for people who've got more to go. It's about £6 for the book and CD and that's all you need to spend, and it really makes sense and is easy to follow.
  • thanks :) will look into them!x

    :DAfternoon peeps

its cold drizzly and depressing here today and i`m struggling to keep myself positive about much. I did step on the scales today despite saying that i wouldn`t and i really wish i`d not bothered :(

I`ve just updated my MFW figures which have cheered me up a bit though :D

I`ve spent the last couple of hours in the kitchen slicing up loads of peppers from the garden, they are all in my dehydrator which will be switched on later when its cheap leccy time and i`ll be back in there shortly as i`ve got a chicken to shove in the oven and stuffing to make etc I`m toying with the idea of making hobnobs whilst the oven is on but i`m still undecided as i`ll probably eat the whole lot in one go :o

LOL at all the knicker flashing talk :D

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
  • Damn Sunny I was going to quote it :rotfl:

Feeling in a more positive frame of mind today. Have removed scales from the bathroom - that was definately contributing to my low mood. I don't need a set of number to tell me how I should feel about myself each day.

Sooooo onwards and upward. Again. :rotfl: Sat and tried to eat mindfully last night, didn't clear my plate. 'Tis hard though with little kids - never a moments peace......

Need to drink more water arrrrrgh I just can't do that. I am lucky if I have 3 cups of coffee a day :o I know that's terrible but I just don't drink that much. It's normally gone cold after running round after the kids demands ;)

  • I too loved The Biggest Loser tv show - It was nice to see they continued to lose weight/get fit while at home.

Just got back from aqua aerobics...there must be an easier way to get rid of my bingo wings. So tired now, think I'm gonna have to go to bed now.

    Nighty night all. x

i cant stand water either - I either have hot water and wait for it to go warm or I mix normal water with sparkling water to give it a bit of a kick (rock&roll)

Was up half the night last night so ended up staring at the tv. Watched America's Loser...the winner, Danny was like a different bloke, truely impressive. He looked 10 -15 years younger imo. I thought he was pretty pathetic when I very first saw him, he seemed to be a 'I can't do it' type in the early stages so he has done very very well.

The bloke that came in 2nd seemed to be wearing some sort of 'thing' (don't really know what to call it) under his shirt...it was almost as if it was holding in all his loose skin, that's the impression I got. His underarm area was pretty loose, so I wondered if he had loose skin elsewhere and that's why he had this thing on. Could well be wrong mind, just wondered.

Danny was completely unrecognisable, Rachel looked like she has anorexia, she has lost a lot of muscle mass, not uncommon for contestants to leave the show with some sort of body dysmorphia and what was with the grandma hair cut :rotfl:

Interestingly only daniel and shay where bigger than me :( and shay looses 52lbs in the next final, Jared the subway diet guy gave her a check and offered to double it if she completed a marathon with him

oh and every things not good on the show, there obsession with dehydrating contests is coming back to haunt them
