Was up half the night last night so ended up staring at the tv. Watched America's Loser...the winner, Danny was like a different bloke, truely impressive. He looked 10 -15 years younger imo. I thought he was pretty pathetic when I very first saw him, he seemed to be a 'I can't do it' type in the early stages so he has done very very well.

The bloke that came in 2nd seemed to be wearing some sort of 'thing' (don't really know what to call it) under his shirt...it was almost as if it was holding in all his loose skin, that's the impression I got. His underarm area was pretty loose, so I wondered if he had loose skin elsewhere and that's why he had this thing on. Could well be wrong mind, just wondered.

  • Skylarker, I've been both sides of it, from size 6 to size 16 for various reasons (and no nothing to do with illness or diet) and I know that a size 10 is right for me, it's just a matter of getting there!

Thanks for the thought though, I've thought about it already but I know that I need to do this for me - I can't really explain it though?! :) x

Can i ask how old you are. Im asking this because i have gone up a size from a size 8 to a size 10 but ive been told it is my age and hormones. Im 45 and at 5ft 2" and 8st 3lbs (at last weigh in). Ive always been abourt 7st 10lb to 8st. No matter how hard i try to get back to that i cant. Ive now come to the conclusion that i have to accept it. Im curvier, my boobs are bigger (which i like) and to be honest everybody has said i look so much healthier. So now i dont go by what i weigh i go by what my clothes look like and ditched the scales. My tummy has got rounder but ive had a health check and like my doctor said i couldnt be more healthier for my age if i tried. So im putting my health 1st over trying to loose the last 5lbs. Ive also changed my clothes to make me look slimmer by wearing skinny jeans and heeled boots and wrapped dresses and heels to make me taller and people have said that i still look a size 8 still regardless of whether i am or not. So maybe you could try that.
  • whitelillies I am 23 I went up from a size 6 to a 10 about 5 years ago which I had been trying to get up to for about 4 years previously (couldn't put on weight) and then increased over the last couple. It's not the weight I am bothered about, like you said its how I feel and how clothes feel/look like. It is hard to describe without knowing my body shape/size to look at for one size 12 lady will look completely different to another. I know some of my increase is due to age/changing the exercise I do (used to do a lot of dancing as a teenager) but I am not trying to overhaul my image just simply trying to drop one dress size (not too extreme!)

Eric! I have the app up and running. Annoyingly the GPS thing froze on my walk to the station so I can't add that in. But i have a question about the foods - how do I add a homemade vegetable lasagne? I mean, I found a frozen veg lasagne in their list but who knows if that's anything like my one? DO I have to add every ingredient a bit at a time? Argh!

Thats exactly how i felt. I was actually smaller after i had my children. I was always a size 10 to 12, then i dropped from that to a 6 then an 8. People used to and still do think i dont eat properly. My bodys changed completely. I do eat healthily tho, i swim twice a week and i understand how body sizes are vastly different. In my mind i felt better a size 8 because thats what i aspired to but im not in my 20s and 30s and in 5years ile be 50. So ive embraced being a size 10 and just gone and shopped differrently. I no longer wear baggy jeans or puffy tops (the ones around the middle) ive like ive said gone for more clingly things around my best bits. Ie my boobs and legs. No matter what i do i know im never going to be a size 8 again. So now i dont look at the label size, i go for the cut. Im in no way vain its i felt better a size 8 and thats that.

i found to use the GPS you have to leave it on the GPS window, even with OS4 switching apps causes it to go off, annoying if you want to walk for more than 2-3 hours as it kills the bat

The GPS recording will stop if you exit the application, lock the screen, turn your device off, or if the battery level falls below 20% or so. The following tips will ensure that your record is fully recorded:
    • Reduce the brightness of your screen
    • Turn Wi-Fi off
    • Make sure your iPhone is fully charged before working out.

the manuals here if you dont have it

hmm i have never made a recipe item, the most complicated thing i make is a stir fry so i list all the bits n bobs individually

but page 18 covers it :)

lol its at the bottom of the meal page /doh never noticed that :)

for things like breakfast where i have 250ml of milk, 2 oatibix and 30g of protein shake i have just been copy n pasting them to the next day, but this would be easier :)
