nah it takes me 2-3 mins a day
you build up a database of the things you eat (it also has about 100,000 items in it) takes a month or so to add all the common things, 2-3 mins for each new item
you can also copy n paste meals for when there the same or similar which takes seconds0 -

Well I am gutted. Especialy as I haven't really changed anything significantly or scoffed anything I shouldnt, no chocolates or naughty munchies, everything no or low fat, salad, fruit and veg, exercised, stayed positive and motivated. - why avoid fat, we are evolved to eat fat, its excessive carbs that are the problem for most
Been eating Fruit and cholesterol lowering drink for breakfasts, salad for lunch, then low fat meals for dinner with lots of veg, fruit n fromage frais as a snack, lots of water and a little exercise. - do you have high cholesterol? if not save your money, btw a diet high in omega oils naturally reduces your cholesterol level, mines 4.3 and 35% of my calories come from fats and oils
Its really becoming a big issue problem for me now as I have had this trouble for past few years. I get to 11st 2lb and then it goes up not down. Its not psychological as I have really tried hard even more so this time. Went to the doctors 3 months ago, who told me to try WW (but I opted for SW), been back to same dr 3 times and weighed in over 3 months and lost, lost then STS when I was offered the 'diet pill' which I said no to (cos I dont see the point in them to be honest a lot of bowel troublefor 1lb extra loss not worth it (then what happens when you come off them?) ).
What the dr has not seen since seeing her about 6 weeks ago is the massive weight gain from 11st 2 to 12 stone then the losses back down to 11st 2. So if I go back to see dr this week all she will see is a gain of 3lb and probably think I have not been trying hard enough. - are you doing any exercise? do you know what your % body fat is?
So fed up.Just dont understand why I cant lose weight. our bodies are not machines they dont get a fixed "mpg" sometimes they just do there own thing, salt and carbs can make you store water which can increase weight substantially, my OH came back from hols and put on 9lbs, 3 days later and back on a reduced carb diet and some light exercise and she had dropped 6lbs. Some times you will get no loss or even gain weight even thou you have done nothing wrong, it happens to all of us.
Sorry to moan. Have a good week everybody. Thanks.
Yes I do have high cholesterol and am taking medication for it. The drinks arnt that expensve as they are own brand and are 8 for £2.50. I dont have salt or sugar (as I have high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes and on meication for both). I also have AS (and take medication for that as well).
Yes I exercise, but not excssively as I have mobility problems, but I manage 30 mins a day in short bursts. No I dont know what my % body fat is - how do I calculate this or find it out?
I am 4ft 7 inches Female late 30's and 11stone 5lbStarted at 12stone beginning of September but as I say I keep losing the same 10lb each month for the past 2 years and am sick of trying and failing and being in an unhealthy weight range and terrified I am gong to die or have a heart attack because of it, despite me trying (and even not trying to get obsessed with it and relax).
Thanks for the advice.Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.

Thanks for the welcomes!
Today I did really well. Decided to try and eat small and often instead of three big man meals. Had 2 weetabix, mid morning snack of cherry toms, a chicken & stuffing sandwich with walkers squares, an apple and some toast for tea. But because I only had toast I feel like I am missing out on tea (I dont feel hungry!) and should compensate! OH has just made a brew - and getting on here typing - should help me avoid picking.

Me too! In fact you can see my undies now, they're large enough to see from space! Hubby calls them my belly warmers. Now that I have a large bum I can't do with little pants. One day, sexy little undies will be mine (sorry Eric!)
Did okay-ish today. Avoided the cakes at work. A box of crisps actually fell off the back of a lorry outside my office on Friday. I mean, it would have been rude not too after they had gone to all that trouble.

a very difficult set of problems to overcome, medication can certainly mess about with weight loss
it can be a real pain when you hit a wall, one of the things i find that helps is if i mix up what i eat so i have normal calorie days very low calorie days and high calorie days but over a week it averages at what i should eat each day, i also try to move the calories around so that i get bigger and smaller meals at different times of the day. The body seams to adjust to patterns of eating so by switching about what and when i eat i hope to break the pattern
the other thing that i have found very helpful when i plateau is to keep my carb intake pretty low, i try to stick to 33% carb / 33% protein and 33% healthy fats and oils. I hit a plateau for 2 weeks 3 weeks ago, last week I reduced my carbs to under 30% (had crept up to 40%+) but my calorie intake was exactly the same as was my exercise and i lost 3.6lbs
you do not have to exercise (but it does help) just moving about normally as much as you can makes a big difference and there are other little tips like sitting on a swiss ball rather than a chair (works your core constantly)
i am a strong believer in keep a food diary and either counting calories or using a points / syns type system to keep log of what you are eating, other wise you are just guessing imo
being over weight, especially by a modest amount does not automatically mean that it will make you more ill and die, i was a super morbidly obese blimp and so far so good0 -

Not to upset he apple cart Roshydoshy, but if you know you're not overweight, you do plenty of exercise and you eat well and healthily, is trying to drop a dress size the best way to spend your time, energy and focus?
I only put this forward because of the number of friends I've seen making themselves less happy in the effort to drop a dress size to try to make themselves happier.
If you're at a good natural weight for you, you risk making yourself miserable trying to force your body into a shape it's not comfortable with when maybe you would be better off accepting the shape you are and learning a new skill or taking up a new hobby to boost self esteem?0
